Wow...I?m speechless
Obrigada a todos voc?s amigos.
Thank you all friends.
This is a message I?m letting on the U2 boards I am addicted to.
I would like to tell you that I won?t be visiting this board for awhile, neither other U2 boards. I?m going on a two weeks vacation period, starting tomorrow. I?m heading to the neighbour State of Santa Catarina, to spend some time with the kids in some wild and beautiful beach...the best beaches in Brazil, IMO And when I come back it?s likely that I would be busy. My team at work and I intend to spend our free time working for our president?s ambicious project to erradicate hunger in these lands. President Lula said it?s a war to save lives, the only one worth to fight. We agree with him.
I?ll miss you, for sure. I might lurk here and there, if I have time, so behave, for I?ll be watching you
But I?ll let you two presents.
First a letter by Michael Moore, with the title War on Whom? It?s available at the World Social Forum website, here:
http://www.forumsocialmundial.org.b...ichaelMoore.asp
And second, and old song that was sung by 25 thousand people from several countries, at the end of the last conference of this 3rd edition of the World Social Forum, here in my hometown. We sang the song and cried, while on the stage of the gym, 3 palestinians and 3 israelis, representing their people, hugged and showed their willing and another kind of hunger, hunger for peace.
Imagine, by John Lennon
Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...
Imagine there's no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one
Tchau
