Hey all. My family's already on my back asking for Christmas gift ideas, and I thought I could ask for some U2 books. Any of you recommend a good one?

I've got the In Conversation with Michka Assayas book, and I loved it.

Thanks for the help!

*edit. I just noticed the "Every Artist Is A Cannibal, Every Poet Is A Thief" forum. Feel free to move this thread to where it should be.

I think you should ask for U2 by U2. It's amazing. Also, Bill Flanagan wrote a great book called U2 At The End of the World. Those are the oones I would ask for

Let's see:

Ones in print:

U2 Live: A Concert Documentary - A must

U2: Into The Heart - Every song up to HTDAAB is analyzed

The U2 Encyclopedia - Everything U2 A - Z

And then of course U2 by U2 - by the band...a must have!!!

U2 at the end of the world

U2 Show if you're more into their touring

U2 by U2

(or U2 Live if you're a setlist/live show info fanatic)

For a GREAT photo book ... then I'd suggest U2 & I: The Photographs (1982-2004)
These photos in this book truly capture you and do not let go ... it's very difficult to turn to the next page ... the photos are that incredible.
Worth every penny ... Anton Corbijn is a fascinating photographer.
This is a MUST-HAVE book, for sure.
