From The Sun:
Diary of a rock star
THERE was me thinking BONO was taking it easy after U2's
grueling tour schedule ...
In reality the singer has been burning the candle at both ends.
Not only has he gone back into the studio with his bandmates,
but he has also been out on the razz most evenings.
Here's a look at his schedule over the past week ...
Monday
BOMBAY Brasserie, West London, for dinner with pal WILL
SMITH.
They had some beers, curry and poppadoms and chatted about
Hollywood and Bono's plan for to produce another film after last
year's The Million Dollar Hotel.
Wednesday
BACK with THE EDGE, LARRY MULLEN Jr and ADAM CLAYTON
at a London studio.
Bono is desperate to capture the magic of their nine-month Elevation
tour.
He told me in an interview two weeks ago: "This band is on fire right
now and we want to capture the power of this tour in some songs.
"We have to keep recording. There could be another album sooner
than people think -- we're in the studio this week.
"We just thought it would be very interesting to come straight off the
tour and see."
Thursday
BONO and wife Ali went to the Dimbleby lecture given by BILL CLINTON
at the Institute Of Education in London and chatted to the former
President's daughter CHELSEA.
Then on to the Conrad Gallagher restaurant where they were joined by
RONAN KEATING before decamping to the Groucho Club. They partied
until the wee hours.
Saturday
AT the opening of the London branch of Ibizan nightclub Pacha.
Bono knocked back a few beers and boogied to the DJs, in his trademark
fly shades of course -- after all it had been a heavy week.
Monday
TIME for work -- due at No10 for a meeting with TONY BLAIR.
The Prime Minister was hosting a summit with a UN adviser about the
continuing problems of famine and debt in Africa. Then it was off to bed
for a well-deserved kip.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He needs some REST.
But-'new album sooner than people think'!
