Well Denver got screwed.

Afterthought in the tour schedule and afterthought in song selection.

yep, pretty lazy shows. plus, they had the anniversary of Red Rocks lined up perfectly and did essentially nothing for it

also lol at the crowd messing up the One lyrics

We have a new low.

Volcano still needs work and nobody but trollvidesco would ask for Ordinary Love out of all the possible options. No Troubles and One is the weakest closer of the tour right now.

I hope they do 40 after this. They can say the story about Dennis Sheehan being under the stage at Red Rocks getting the crowd to sing 'How long to sing this song?' It's not that hard, U2!

You cannot finish on One. Its...its...its such a DOWNER. Same as SHF. I mean its a great singalong, but then BOOM. Discoteque. You're welcome. Get the cowboy hats out god damnit!

It was like kite of vertigo. I love that song but i felt like :sad::sad: after each show. You're already sad its finished and then your heart is stomped on.

Yes, I'm sure everyone at the Denver shows is just hopping mad about the setlists. Probably all had a terrible time.

If only they knew how they should really feel about it. :(

I was in GA at a show in Chicago once and it was the worst experience I have ever had at a U2 show. A lot of the GA crowd was drunk/drinking and the floor where I was at was covered in beer. When we moved closer to the back people were standing around in a group ignoring the show and talking amongst themselves! In general, I was pushed, shoved, hit, stomped on many times and at 5' 6' I barely saw much of anything. HORRIBLE experience for me. If you get there early and can get a spot along the stage somewhere then that's one thing otherwise it just sucked!

Try it in a nicer place. I did GA in Winnipeg and strangers gave me food, inquired after my health (my ankle was bandaged), and brought my chair I had in line back to my hotel the next day. Everyone was drinking beer, but no one seemed drunk. Canada...

I would take back about 40% of my negativity. seriously, one song is all it really takes with this band.

All I remember from hearing One as a closer is a drunk dude singing off key and out of time in my ear. Bono kind of sung it sometimes.

Red Rocks Anniversary and they play 3 songs from that concert, 2 of which are warhorses that have been played over 800 times each. This band is truly brilliant.

I did Toronto in 2011, and the kindness was unforgettable. I saw many of my Toronto brethren in LA and it made me a little emotional.

literally almost any other band would pay tribute to such a huge moment in their career

even Radiohead at Glastonbury in 03 called back several times to their 1997 performance, and they're essentially the least nostalgic band in the world

absurdly huge moment in their career and it was just tossed aside like it was nothing

Well, I'm glad I didn't take the trouble to go to this show. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it, but it was pretty dull from this end. I hate to say that, but it's true.

Meanwhile the crowds in Denver are loving it. I suppose it makes all the difference when you're there. I just wish they'd end on a high note. The rest of the setlist is pretty cool!

It certainly does. LA3 was an objectively uninteresting show, but I had a great time while I was there.

But hey, I'm not there now. All I can do is periscope comment.

That was my #1 takeaway after LA. It really feels so different live. As much as I love Periscope, it's not even close as a substitute to the energy of being there.

(Feels like an obvious statement, but you'll get it when you see it!)
