It's probably more likely that he's moving too fast for people to react and take pictures with great frequency.

I played hockey through college and reading of all of his injuries I've seen (and felt a couple) them all. Dis locatiing my right shoulder a number of times and fracturing my collorbone was the worst. But seeing fractured orbital a couple times was unbelievable, unfortunately it's the number of injuries that is so alarming.... road to recovery could be ardourous. I wish him well!
