Your first post and
Niamh_Saoirse's post are empty for me :(

I will go to the G8 summit. Another chance to meet him. :)
I don't think there's a chance to get in there, security is high.

BTW, can't see the photos either, only red crosses.

Thank you for the new pictures! The last one with MM is hilarious. I am sure he will keep this photo of Bono and himself in a frame in a very special place. They look cool together.
And Bono was especially  tonight.

Off to bed now.

It's a good thing my friend doesn't come in here...she's obsessed by Tokio Hotel!

Is there a video for this award?!

Yes, it is. But there should be some program.
I will just go there and see what's up. :)

I don't expect to get "in". :)

Great pictures :)

I noticed that too ( the number of wrist bands he is wearing)...

It does make a stronger statement to wear a whole bunch of them at once!! I wear 3 one bands at the same time sometimes! And if somebody asks me why I tell them and hand them out!! :)

Bono's speech and perhaps it's the video he won the award for ...not sure...is up at u2.com

from U2.com:

Speech below.

‘Danke schoen. I’m holding an Echo! I’ve an Echo here in my hand, to thank me for something that I didn’t do – something you did – something that started in Gernany eight years ago, in Cologne, when people who don’t normally stand together, stood together for the world’s poor.

It’s true, it was at the G8 meeting in Cologne in 1999 – Stammtischler hanging out with academikern, football fans hanging out with the police, punk rockers hanging out with priests, seriously… Die Toten Hosen and Radiohead linked arms with church people, the holy father John Paul wore my sunglasses, it’s true - amazing things were happening. People came from all over Germany to link arms and made a chain around the city to break the chains of poverty in Africa.

And I can hear other echoes – echoes of the voices of the 20million African children who are now in school because of this, 20million African children in school because of you and Drop the Debt – and I want to thank you, Germany, for that.

Now this summer – the G8 are coming back to Germany – Heilegendamm – I hear it is a nice place, by the sea, myself and the great Herbert Gronemeyer are going there on our holidays.

We need to hear your voices again, louder than before. I want to hear you raise your voices, deine stimme – lauter, lauter . Scream like it is a Tokio Hotel concert – deine stimme - deine stimme – gegen armut…

Put on your white wristbands and raise your voices, so Chancellor Merkel can hear you, Minister Steinbruck can hear you. So the whole world can hear you – the new Germany.

:banghead: I'd actually finished dewatermarking the picture when... I somehow managed to save the original file into my folder instead of the dewatermarked one, and closed the program without saving the one I'd just finished working on

So I had to start alllll over again, but fortunately it went a little bit faster the second time around, because I'd already established at just what angle the light was falling on Bono's lower lip, so I didn't have to do all the trial and error, but still

Not as perfect as I might like, but my back's killing me

aww poor baby, the things we do for love! LOL. Thanks for all your hard work. That is the most adorable smile.

I love love love the photos. He's the cutest thing around besides the little polar bear in the Berlin zoo.
And I like the way he's trying to speak German.
At @u2 dot com there's the new "Deine Stimme gegen Armut" clip with Bono and other celebrities.
Thanx for all the photos!
