I think it was pretty fucking excellent year personally. Best by far since probably 1994.

That new Bloc Party song underwhelmed me. I'm still interested to see where the album will wind up, quality-wise; I hope it's listenable, though, and more consistent/less oft-mediocre than Silent Alarm. Sorry for going O-T, but I couldn't resist. 2007 should be dece, but I don't yet have much of a reason to expect more from it than I got from 2006.

crap, I haven't listened to the new Bloc Party, I know is leaked, but well, my expectation are high

I believe I saw them on a list of artists that were working on new material, yes.

An EP is meant to be coming out in mid to late 2007 with them going back into the studio to record a full album in 2008.
