I'm a U2 fan so likely it'll be album of the year. Especially since I like every song and LOVE most of them and will be listening to it for years to come. U2 won't likely win Album of the Year at the Grammys ever again (since they have two) but I'm hoping they can win Rock Album Grammys. It's very CLEAR that the critical establishment has knives out for U2 and probably will for the rest of their career.
For other albums I love:
Turn Blue - The Black Keys (excellent)
They want my soul - Spoon (excellent)
It's Album Time - Todd Terje (excellent)
Morning Phase - Beck (excellent)
The Take Off and Landing of Everything - Elbow (excellent)
High Life - Eno & Hyde (good)
Are we there - Sharon Van Etten (good)
St. Vincent (good)
Lost in the dream - The War on Drugs (good)
Trouble in Paradise - La Roux (good)
Lazaretto - Jack White (good)
A Sunny Day in Glasgow - Sea When Absent (good)
I still have more to listen to. I want to hear more Lykke Li, new Adele, new Aphex Twin, and whatever else shows up. As you can see from my list I don't listen to much Rap/Hip Hop.
