i have not read anything about citizenship whatsoever in order to enter the contest on u2.com. so i guess it's not really a case, although if you notice, the list of the country on the entrance form puts these certain countries (the same with the participating websites) at the top (US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands, etc) and then there's a line before it goes to the rest of the countries alphabetically... so dunno if it means anything

but i'm from indonesia, and still entered anyway. Twice.

a question, after I entered my answer twice, I got two messages in my mail from info@music.com asking me to register to get info about U2. just want to make sure if everyone else got the same kind of message and if that's really all we gotta do to enter the contest.

yep i got the same email last nite.. you might also want to click the link in the email to confirm it.. I did just in case.. Remember this isn't a contest that U2.com is doing.. this is contest is Universal's. U2.com is just sponsoring it.

I agree, I had the same thought....but despite this, I'm gonna send my answer, but only once...(I don't wanna cheat with multiply answers)

Edit1: it says "legal resident" of the U.K....Does it mean that you have to have a "legal address" and have to be registered as a resident in the UK., to take place??

see my previous post. The contest is open to anyone so need to worry about being a legal resident of the UK. This was an error on either u2.com's part or Universal.. And of course u2.com hasn't removed the text from the site...

I would just like to say to everyone how great I think this site is! I must admit I have only come across it since this competition started but I have now joined up.

There is such a nice atmosphere on this site compared to the U2.com!

Thanks for all your help with the competition, I spent hours trying to keep up with it but without the help of everyone on this site I dont think I would have got to the final answer! (and this way I will be able to get some work done this fortnight and not get fired!)

I look forward to being part of Interference.com!

Over on U2.com there is conversation of telling people who only have a few posts under their user ID the WRONG ANSWER!!!!

I also entered more than once with no problem. Just because they were mean, I would love for some Interfacers to win!!!

I don't go over to those boards much because I've heard the rumors people are nasty. Although I don't post a whole lot, this is where I started and this board is where I plan to stay. So I agree...I hope someone from Interference wins!

I take it everyone decided that "you're the reason I sing" was a fake? as it would have made for an extra U and Let us go to Honolulu instead of Lets ??

Where do I find the Channel 4 banner and the Switzerland banner?

I found a different way to find the banners before finding this site.
When I found the Australia one, I noticed that the link was

You can find 11 others by changing Australia to Austria, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Holland, NME, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and UK (www.u2.com).

The ones it didn't find where the hotpress, channel4, mp3.com, and Japan-Asahi, but I found all bar the channel 4 one on the websites. I found the Channel 4 one here.

So for those that were looking for the Switzerland banner for final verification.

I imagine they'll open up a random selection and then check the answer. The randomizer won't be picking via right answers, so the case shouldn't matter.
