    The Blackout

This teaser curiously has a mix of The Blackout that is different than the studio version. The most prominent differences are in the drums but you may also notice the guitar in the intro has changed:

U2 Should Release an SOE-Focused Live Album Like Under a Blood Red Sky

Under a Blood Red Sky and the Red Rocks film are serious highlights in the band's history, and from what I've heard, attracted a lot of new fans. How great would be if U2 were to do an equivalent live album centered on SOE? Assuming it would be the same length as Under a Blood Red Sky, what 8...

Wow that Berlin performance was amazing! Bono sounding great, energy in the air, and damn One sounded good.

SOE 35 - it’s finally here, let the debate on how good/bad it is begin!

Book of Your Heart is my favourite of the whole album. Lights of Home (strings) is also near the top. Though, to give you some perspective, I disliked 6/13 tracks of the standard album with love is bigger possibly being the worst U2 song ever imo.

SOE 35 - it’s finally here, let the debate on how good/bad it is begin!

Book of Your Heart is the strongest so far for me. I actually really enjoyed it. The string version of Lights of Home is also really enjoyable.

Just finished first listen. Really disappointed :( . U2 trying to sound way too much like contemporary pop.

SOE 32: let there be no leak puns..

Personally, that's really disheartening. Not a fan of One Republic at all, and not a fan of the idea of a non-U2 member so heavily influencing the writing - i emphasize the writing as opposed to the feel.

SOE 32: let there be no leak puns..

How were the lyrics? Any standouts relative to the whole discography? Did the lyrics tend to be like those of The Best Thing or?

SOE 31: Yes, we have no bananas

I wonder why they seem to so strongly avoid making high tempo songs. Almost every song is mid-tempo, mid-energy nowadays. They seemed so enthused with how well the Boy songs were received on the IE tour, and yet every taste of SOE has been mid-tempo, mid-energy... Also, not every song's main...

SOE 31: Yes, we have no bananas

Thank you for sharing. From the descriptions and the four tracks we've already heard, I don't think I'm going to like this album at all :( . Hopefully Summer of Love, Little Things, and Book Of Your Heart hold up.
