Last Unicorn was right about what she said.....those "rumours" a week ago about on the German U2 board about Bono in Germany getting back treatment and looking like he could hardly walk in Munich airport were obviously very true
Coming up from D.C. to see the boys with my NY friends .... hope I can buy tickets at BB's day of show ...I don't want to pay Ticketmaster surcharges:down:
I might be being biased here but I think that UF is almost as close to U2 in sound as a tribute band could possibly be....they were also one of the first U2 tribute bands around...at least that I can remember
Well if Lars Ulrich from Metallica can mention that they would open up for U2 in a parking lot if given the chance,Muse and their fans can certainly handle being an opener for U2...I know Muse can....a number of their fans however are rather obnoxious about it
ironically Metallica will...
I can only think it's the band obliging Will I am for doing some work on NLOTH...that and since they both share the same record label here in the U.S. the record company(Universal) might be involved in pushing BEP for a few dates on tour
...it does suck Sicy, but look on the bright side...you can get to the stadium later and you wont have to deal with the twilight fanatics...oops,I mean muse fans :D
So very well said....I could overhear some people after the concert in DC saying how they loved the opening song and Magnificent and that they hadnt heard the songs on the radio...as you said the tour is doing what its supposed to do - help promote the album...the thing I cant figure out is the...
Nowhere have I seen bashing as bad against the main act(U2) as I've seen it on the Muse board....yes bashing of U2 seems to be par for the course on any non-U2 music board...but this is U2 's tour and these asswipe fans get insulted that Muse even has to share a bill with U2...complaining they...
Yeah I never would have thought that their fans would have a problem with Radiohead, but you're right...there is friction there.
I guess what I'm getting at is that I would love to see Muse at Fed Ex Field with my 2 friends minus all the A-hole Muse fans that would dare to disrespect U2...
There's no denying Muse is an awesome band, however a number of their fans are nothing short of major assholes  ...never have I read posts by fans of a supporting act for
U2 that were so disingenuous and spiteful towards the Dublin boys.
Reading the tripe on the "Gigs and Tours"...
Went on the Muse board (muse.mu) just to pick up the vibe before their band gets the honor(lol) of opening up for U2.....what a bunch of arrogant assholes some of their fans are..of course they dont have to like U2 ...but some of them who are going to the 360 tour shows have such disdain for the...
UPDATE: My friend who happens to be a big Dallas Cowboy/U2 fan just took a tour of the new stadium yesterday (he's down there for the Cowboy - Giant game)...he mentioned that the tour guide talked about how U2 was paying to have the massive screen that is suspended 90 feet above the playing...
was there ever a doubt...lol
looks like U2 will eclipse my 1 million sold in the U.S. by October prediction by a week or two....still impressive #'s when you look at the lack of almost any airplay at most radio stations around the U.S.
As I said before in an earlier post most of those negative Amazon "reviews" were a bunch of spammers who created accounts for the sole purpose of bashing the band, others claimed they used to be "big" fans of U2 until this album....blah blah blah but among all their record reviews they had not...
Sure...I'll explain and btw I am totally in agreement with you on POP...to me a superb record, hands down.
Maybe misunderstood is the wrong word I probably could have said misconstrued instead (same difference)...what I mean is that there is this perception about NLOTH that because the last...
You sure about that??
I could see them releasing it in early December and packaging it with NLOTH as a 2 for 1 special in order to get the Christmas sales :D
