You guys will have to forgive me for hastily typing "device" when visiting interference on my lunch break. I thought it was clear what I was trying to say, but apparently I wasn't.

It seems as though a lot of fans online despise any lyric that isn't "poetic" or when Bono mentions "day-to-day" things in his lyrics such as paying rent, or punching in his ATM password.

Brandon Flowers from the Killers got slammed for a track called Here With Me on Battle Born because it contains a reference to his cell phone.

All I'm saying is I like those kind of lyrics. I don't need every lyric to be about the eternal longing my soul has for love or some other grand idea. I like hearing the details like the ATM machine, etc.

I don't think anybody complained about "ATM machine" because it mentioned an everyday technology.

It was because "Automated Teller Machine machine" is redundant. "I was punching in the numbers at the ATM" would've been just fine by me.

Thing is, with Bono's health scare, they should have known the minute they mentioned it that the subject wouldn't be dropped. I'm sure there's reporters out there right now digging around trying to be the first to dish the dirt.

Anyway, music wise, Best Thing has been a grower to the point where its one of their best singles they've done in recent memory, its insanely catchy. Love The Blackout and Get Out of Your Own Way is growing on me too although I'm not a fan of the production.

I can NOT see how they would put a gag on fans that are going and listening to the album. I would think the only point would be to let them out into the social media world and talk about it. I get gagging the media til a certain date, but fans? doesn't make sense.

I'm starting to wonder if there is even a listening session today? I don't see any official reporting on it, nor on any U2 news sites, nor on U2.com.
