Regarding the floor plan; it doesn't seem to be the same for every venue, at least at this point.

Here's the one for the Forum in Los Angeles:

This one doesn't have the little round stage at one end or the big main on the other.

At this point, I don't think the Ticketmaster renders should be too heavily relied on. This is the one they have for San Jose:

Which jives heavily with the one we've been looking at all day (in the first post)

In the past, when shows have sold out, when did they announce additional dates in the same city? Never been to a U2 show and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Honestly, this is the thing that I'm going to be toying over until tomorrow morning. Originally, I was set on using the pre-sale code for the two announced Chicago shows (assuming I succeeded in getting a ticket for each). But if further shows could be announced there and the credit card entry issue isn't a big thing tomorrow, then I might be tempted to wait it out until other shows are announced.

It's a risk, sure, but I guess we'll find out once we try in the morning! Assuming we get the pre-sale codes by then, of course...

Yes, this is what I'm tempted to do. From the FAQs on the U2 website
(Innocence + Experience Tour 2015 FAQ (read only) - U2 iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015 - Zootopia Community), it seems like the pre-sale code should give you access for the entire "touring period". And it is also implied, though not stated outright, that there will be a pre-sale for each show.

I think announcing only these selected dates when there clearly appear to be plans for more, and lack of clarity of the entire process is probably intentional to drive up early demand (and perceived demand). If what @U2.com posted as rumors a couple of days ago continue to be correct (they have been 100% accurate so far), there are likely still at least 16 more shows to be announced (4 more in LA, 4 more in Chicago, 4 more in NYC, 2 more in Boston and 2 more in Montreal).

I want two tickets for one show, but I won't be able to afford the $250+ tickets. At the same time, I wouldn't mind paying the $50 for the subscription to be guaranteed a good shot at 2 tickets in the $90-$100 range, especially for a third or fourth show in a particular city, as the band have in the past usually shaken things up a bit in the setlist when they spend that long in one city.

Ordinarily I'd agree with you, but note that it does include the Red Zone. It's not exactly a generic mock-up.

Yeah, but I think the giant rectangle is a place holder for the little stage, the catwalk and the big stage.

I hope you're right.

I'm guessing if the Forum main floor was for some reason smaller than the other venues, then they just would have played somewhere else.

This is what I'm thinking of too. If anything, the only thing that's giving me some sort of stress is the credit card-only situation (and that's only if it does happen to apply to both GA and seats equally... last thing I want is to be shut out of this leg, especially if I had every intention of going). Plus, even if I bought only one ticket in the morning just to be safe, that's still one less presale ticket for any future shows that might end up happening.

So some decisions will probably need to be made if I do have a chance a both shows, but I will be logging in tomorrow to see what happens and probably make up my mind then.

Thank you for this. Also, "If you subscribed to U2.com today and have not received a confirmation e-mail, DO NOT PANIC. They are working on getting them out to people."

My sister ordered me a gift subscription today and got an order number but not a coupon code in it yet. I am assuming it is that email they are working on, the one with the coupon code in it. Would that be a good guess? And since it is a somewhat new subscription, I have until Friday morning anyway....Sound right?

Here's a ? that I haven't seen answered.

If I resub later this year, will I get an additional presale code? The verbage on the U2 site says tour period. I'm thinking the possible add on shows are still part of this INITIAL tour period, even the Dublin show at the end of the year. Thus, they may not let you use an additional presale code if you used your initial one now.

What do you all think? I'm stuck!

My interpretation of it based on past experiences is you are correct. The general sale is a 4 ticket limit per show on day one. So should you be lucky enmough, you could in theory buy 4 tix to each show that goes on sale Monday.

Thanks for the response. I'm going to call Ticketmaster tomorrow to verify. I'll let you know what they say.

Any rumors on other cities? Another lap around the US in '16? If the above is true, and forgive my post / quoting skills, a significant portion of the US is being skipped in '15.

Plus, I hate the thought of "plane ticket and weekend in LA for $800 in 2015" when, with luck, it becomes "drive an hour, spend $200 in 2016"

So if i get two today in the pre sale

Can i then get 4 more on monday for a different date??

I hear you. Nothing about other cities as far as I know. But apparently Edge did say they would be back in 2016 doing outdoor shows, so presumably they'll hit some of the larger population areas that appear to be being omitted this time around.

You'll probably have more luck with further show speculation in the general tour thread. I'm just trying to create a central hub for ticket purchasing questions here. I realize the two kinda go hand in hand, so there'll be overlap, but I'm hoping this stays a generally easy place to find answers to questions as the weekend progresses.

If I'm one of a pair of conjoined twins, and we have separate U2.com memberships but share a billing address (obviously), can we only get 2 tickets between us?

We'd really both like to be able to take someone along.

:|

You could get four tickets if one of you changed the billing address on your bank account to someone else's, say a family member.

Pre-sale for Stockholm says the following:

EXPERIENCE GROUP / INNOCENCE GROUP
Excluding pre-sale tickets.

Maximum number of tickets per person: 4
Presale begins to apply: December 4 10:00
Presale ends: December 6, 08:00

I am confused.

I wish I could explain that one. Best I can suggest is you call your ticket retailer and get a confirmation.

Because i thought you only could buy 2 tickets in the pre-sale. For Stockholm you can buy 4? Maybe 2 for each show? :hyper::hmm:
