Well I teased you on Friday with the promise of exciting news coming your way today, and I hope this newsletter doesn't disappoint because today, at last, we are announcing the brand new Erasure album and tour!

Due to what I must politely refer to as 'human error' the UK dates were announced elsewhere earlier today and went viral, apologies for that, it was all beyond the control of myself, the band, the band's management or Mute, but I do hope this newsletter will clarify everything...

Please can I also ask that you read this newsletter, and the online FAQ, carefully before emailing me with questions, just to check that you're not asking something I've already answered, thank you!

ERASURE ANNOUNCE 'THE VIOLET FLAME' ALBUM AND TOUR
The new Erasure album will be called 'The Violet Flame' and will be released on September 22nd (that's the UK release date, it will be September 19th in some parts of Europe, and September 23rd in the USA). The standard edition of 'The Violet Flame' - Erasure's sixteenth studio album - will feature ten tracks and the first single (more on that a little closer to the time) will be released as a one-track in July when it goes to radio, and then as a full single in September. 'The Violet Flame' was recorded in New York and London and is produced by Richard X.

Phew! That's already a lot of information to absorb... I expect you'd probably like to sit back and take it all in, and perhaps have a sneaky listen to an extract from one of the tracks from 'The Violet Flame' wouldn't you? Well, here's a little video trailer for the project that does just that...
