I don't mind having family. I just wish they'd give me more direction in what to get them. My main focus was my daughter and this local girl who needed some clothes.

Maybe for next year...make a game where you tell everyone to make a list of what they want for christmas.

That's the only idea I have :shrug:

Well...at least you and the rest of your family are probably still on speaking terms so far. My dad is driving me batty with his overworrying. Sometimes I wished I had my sister with me to help calm my dad down (Oh...I forgot to mention that I do have a sister....but she was given up before I was born) :hug:

Our family has grown so much, with multiple generations, marriages, and more children, that we decided to have a "Secret Santa Claus" name draw, with each person listing two or three suggestions for their gift. Kinda impersonal, I guess, but having to shop for only one person is so much easier. Of course, I still give gifts to MrPurrl and to my son!

It's not impersonal! Families grow SO much that it just becomes impractical and way too expensive to buy for everyone. If I bought for everyone in my family - brother, sister, spouses, children, their spouses and children, I'd be approaching 25 people. :yikes: We stopped it years ago. Secret Santa/drawing names is a great alternative that a lot of families do now. :up:

Weldy and Tara :hug: :hug:

Look who Santa brought in!

Here is how I feel about Christmas at the moment.....:panic::panic::panic::panic::panic:

Me too - I'm totally behind. It's not like me at all. :shrug:

Mmmmm cake :hug:

I'm okay. My back is killing me from shovelling and wrapping a bunch of presents. I could use a massage.

Why were you shovelling presents? Do you really have THAT many?
:wink:

Larry and cake :drool: :wink:

:hug:

Chocolate covered drummer? Yesplz

Something in between. I was looking for something I could wear to my work party and my husband's work party as they are in the same night. Mine is at a bar and Mr. Ryan's is at a hotel. Oh, and I hate dressing up. I wanted to wear boots primarily.

I'll post some pics. I got 2 dresses and a Spider-Man umbrella for $56! And I got 2 toddler dresses, 1 kids jeans, 1 hoodie, 1 shirt and socks for $4! YES. That was F-O-U-R.

dress pics PLZ!!!! Awesome deals - you must be a supershopper!
i got my little guy a pair of Heelies (sneakers with wheels on the heel). Hope he doesn't break anything trying them out on Christmas day!

:hug::hug: for Weldy

Thanks guys :hug:

I'm just thankful I'm actually going to give him something for Christmas this year. I really don't want anything from him this year (a good sign I'm emotionally growing up :up: :up: )

Here is one of them...Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more

I cannot find the other one on their site and don't remember the name of the brand. But it's like a shirtdress but a fine grey plaid. I was so tired of black dresses. I tried one on last night that was black and white - but the neck was waaay too low. And I'd never wear it anywhere else. These I can wear to work. And that one was $40 for one. I got 2 for $50!

Something really wonderful that happened (cable-wise) in the past month?

We suddenly have BBCAmerica.:love: It's not part of the package we ordered, and we were planning on dropping HBO, and upgrading the cable package so we could get BBCA and the Science channel, and then suddenly we had BBCA.

....

Still no Science channel, though.

Oh, I forgot to tell you all this morning: ZooEdge made an appearance in my dreams last night. :shifty:

I don't wanna tell you all the rest of my dream because it's rather...... weird and kinda embarassing.

:wave::wave: Morning PLEBAns!

Who wants to come do dishes at my house so I can continue my Xmas baking??? I've made sugar cookies and choc. chip cookies over the weekend and still need to do snickerdoodles and 7-layer cookies (aka magic cookie bars). I just don't feel like doing dishes :down:

I'll do them if I can have some of that baking :wink: :drool:

I have a good idea Tara :wink:

I also had a dream about Edge....he gave me away at my wedding day.

:cute: :giggle:

I had a very sexy Bradley Cooper dream again last night. :drool: Whenever I watch a movie with him in it, I have a dream about him. Why doesn't that work with U2 videos? :angry:
