Well,

It sounds nearly finished, but lacking the dynamics of the final version. Bono sings it a bit like he's "soundchecking" or memorizing his lyrics. The final vocal is more deep/subtle to me. Have to say that for me so far Zoo Station is the most interesting alternate take, since the chorus is so different/early U2 like.

I think it's similar. I didn't care for it at the beginning, but by the end of the song, I really liked it.

"Baby" Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World...sounds like Bono was sitting in a bar with a couple acoustic guitars, Edge, and Eno and Lanois and they just started singing whatever came to their heads. I like it

I really like the stuff Bono whispers..."fear of failure, fear of winning, Fear of God, fear of women." That's awesome.

I;m liking "Baby" Ultraviolet. The guitar is a lot different than the album version. A lot louder, a lot grittier. Sounds cool.

TTTYAATW probably musically sounds very similar to the Hansa outtakes, but simpler and indeed with the CSNY feel, cool!

lol, funny how that goes. i still plan on spinning the NIN and Jack White versions quite often as well as the new EBTTRT remix on the covers album.

The different lyrics on the "Baby" songs are really cool. In fact, I wish they had kept some of them in the final songs.

Does anyone here have the actual box in hand, or is everyone just listening to torrents? There were those photos that someone put up on Picasa of the opened box set, so I guess it's "out there" somewhere. What are the liner notes like? Do we get track-by-track commentary by the Edge again? Are there essays by Eno, Lanois, etc. like with the UF and JT box sets?

I've got the actual CD's 'in-hand'. I haven't had time to listen to them yet as a relative of mine was rushed to hospital today and I've only just got in. Am going to listen later though. I also got the Q Magazine CD today too. An evening of maximum U2ness awaits.

Someone asked where I got mine from...3 Uber sets and 1 Super Deluxe all ordered from Tesco but delivered from The Hut? Strange, but then I have heard that Tesco do use The Hut.

I've sold 3 Uber sets for £255 x 2 and £275 x 1, the same prices I paid. These are being despatched to buyers tomorrow and they will have them Friday. I decided to just hang onto the Super Deluxe set.

Ultraviolet sounds a bit more "manchester baggy" or even manic street preachers without the higher guitar part, cool. More danceable.

I didn't call anyone names. I alerted those reading this thread that there's a specific forum for MP3/music requests. It was a first notification that there's a more suitable place for those kind of requests. Now, if people don't read and keep on acting like that...

the only preview i got was the new Heaven and Hell through my cell phone's external speaker.

from what i've read i think i'll start with the Kindergarten disc because that's what's really blowing everyone away.
