I need to do this too. I used to download from that U2torrents website but it seems everyone downloads from U2start so I'm going to try that. I need to figure out how to burn the DVDs to actual DVDs so I can watch them on my tv. That's somethign I've never been able to understand how to do.

I should do all that today, and print trip pictures, because I'm stuck inside all day. Instead of just sitting around doing nothing.

This is frustrating. I have no idea what anything means on there and I don't wanna download a bad quality one but I don't know how to tell if it's good quality or not :crack:

Takeout or picnic-style from one of the grocery stores? When we moved the last time, we bought a bunch of those cold sandwiches and cold chicken fingers from the deli section of the grocery, got some chips & dip, and voila - instant meal w/no cooking required. :lol:
 
That would require me getting up and going out to get groceries. We barely have anything left in the house cause we can't be on the ground floor at all the next few days. So we're eating out tomorrow and tuesday. Were supposed to go out tonight as well, but yeah, recent events pretty much thrashed that plan.

I'm somewhat thinking Spare Ribs. I can order them online, so that solves my hardly-any-cash-problem.

Those sandwiches sound good. Dang, I'm starting to get hungry. :drool:

Random story: I have VH1 top 20 countdown on in the other room. I just heard some really shitty pop band called Hot Shell Ray. Here's the funny part. They were first called Miracle Drug, named themselves after the U2 song. But they found that every time they googled themselves all that came up were U2 references. So they changed their name.

:crack: Whacko uncle from mom's side called. Ugh, I'll never get used to getting calls from him or his older sister. Both are complete sociophobes living in their own little worlds with their wife/husband. He called asking about my uncle(my dad's brother) and then went on that my parents weren't there, pried about my dad's relationship towards his other brother and to asking how I was doing, that I should be having a nice relaxed time right now. :| Not once he offered condoleances, and right after that he said he'd call back later and hung up. Ugh. I'm so glad I got you guys as family, because the real deal sure ain't my cuppa tea.

I was lazy so I settled for a good ol' peanut butter sandwich and some fruit cocktail.

Dinner tonight is either going to be bacon sandwiches and fries, or "appetizer sampler night" where we make appetizers and make a big sampler platter like you can get ala TGI Fridays, Chili's, and Applebee's lol. Depends on which one Mr CK wants me to make. I'll ask him when he calls on his break in the next couple of hours.

I should pick up some ribs next week when we grocery shop...grilling ribs sounds really good lol.

I ran 3 something miles yesterday. Next weekend, 6.5 miles as I work up to 12 miles for my half marathon in October.

Dang, that's a big jump in mileage. I haven't done 6 miles since last Jan so I have to take it slow. Gonna go for 4 miles next week I think.

I don't have the HD one because you can't burn it to DVD like other torrents.

If they're both by U2rulesmyworld, I'm pretty sure it's the same show. One is just in HD-quality, so I'd guess you could watch that on your laptop or plug it into your HDTV and watch that way, but from what I'm told, if you don't care about HD, or don't have HD stuff to watch it on, you're wasting all that download time.

Does that make sense?

oohh that appetizer idea sounds really good. :drool: It sounds a bit like the Spanish idea of Tapas or Pinchos. Love that.

Ribs are probably my favourite food ever. :D Let me know if you want a great recipe for Irish ones. I made those for my birthday, they were damn good. :drool: aaack now I'm hungry. The delivery is still not here!!!!

Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Now if someone went to bed.. We'd make a full 24 hours together. :wink:

Thanks, it blows. But I guess you can't choose what family you're born in. You didn't miss anything, my uncle passed away this morning. We all knew it was going to happen since he's gotten a horrible case of cancer, it all went so bloody fast... two months ago nothing was going on, and the last few weeks he just went downhill so fast. I saw him two weeks ago for the last time, he was already in a care home, and my parents went last monday, he was doing much worse.
so yeah, my mom's older brother prying about my father's family was the last thing I needed. :| I was thisclose to telling him to shut the fuck up. But I can't do that cause all hell will break loose if I do.

It helps being around people I actually like. We could be one big adoptive family. :D
