For U.S. folks:
Now, unlimited streaming for $7.99 is still a good deal, but I love Netflix for the obscure DVDs you can find. The streaming quality is not always great, too.
I'm not sure what to do because I like it both ways. However, there are months were I am too busy and have 2 DVDs sitting on my player getting dusty because I can't get to them.
$20 per month is getting close to just waiting and buying DVDs when they hit $5, $7 or $10 at Target.
Does anyone have any thoughts? Suggestions?
Is anyone actively using Comcast's Xfinity options online? What's the latest with Hulu?
I'm only a torrent fan for U2 and a few other bands, so I'm not likely to do that for movies and TV shows.
For U.S. folks:
We are separating unlimited DVDs by mail and unlimited streaming into two separate plans to better reflect the costs of each. Now our members have a choice: a streaming only plan, a DVD only plan, or both.
Your current $14.99 a month membership for unlimited streaming and unlimited DVDs will be split into 2 distinct plans:
Plan 1: Unlimited Streaming (no DVDs) for $7.99 a month
Plan 2: Unlimited DVDs, 2 out at-a-time (no streaming) for $11.99 a month
Your price for getting both of these plans will be $19.98 a month ($7.99 + $11.99). You don't need to do anything to continue your memberships for both unlimited streaming and unlimited DVDs.
These prices will start for charges on or after September 1, 2011.
