With a wedding in November? I doubt it. Won't get a leave pass for any more concerts I don't think

Will have to wait and see what happens if she comes downunder.

I just tried to watch a movie with no captioning. Had the volume up to almost 40 (of 63), it was fine except for a few times when people mumbled :crack:. Need to get this cotton out of my ears...or better yet, the ow-fuck-shit-thishurts-ear infection.

Of course, the wedding... Fingers crossed she'll make it down here.

 I hate ear infections, and I've only had mild ones... hope you can shake it off soon!

I used to get them way more as a kid, the problem is now, I probably get them almost as frequently, but I'm not as good about treating them. It's mainly when I get them in both ears that I begin to cry about it. Thankfully, my little brother had the medicine sitting around, so it hasn't been too bad.

Ah thanks, I've got a general head cold, but ear infections kill me. I have a bit of a fear of getting tinnitus someday, so I get a bit more nervous when they hurt.

I got a virus in my left ear last September that nearly sapped my hearing in that ear. I've gotten it back, but I can tell there's a difference between the two.

Now I just have a goddamn cough I can't get rid of. Mucinex, I think. If that doesn't work, I'm getting a vacuum and sucking the crap out of my lungs...

our ickle vladdikins is growing up.

My BlackBerry has a chance at getting its brains back. I hope. Found a workaround. Fingers crossed everybody.

...never mind. My Crackberry is brainless. I call it proof that these things are the scourge of the earth. OK, maybe not. I'm just slightly upset that my phone has gone kaput. My memory card will have my contacts and I was able to get my pictures off of it with my mom's phone. I'll live. I guess. Damn BlackBerry.

Thanks. I feel better. I'm getting a new NON-smartphone this weekend.

This: LG Cosmos Touch

I don't mind so much the touch screen cause it has a slide-out full keyboard for button-pressing. With unlimited text, I can still update Twitter and Facebook should something pop into my head. I never had either of my LG phones spaz out on me like my BlackBerry did. And it's only $80 new, which I can afford at the moment, so I'm going for it.

Good luck with the ear infection, Ashley. What are you using for it? I've found amoxycillin (which is prescription-only) is most effective ... last time I used drops, they did precious little.

Happy birthday, Vlad! Or barfday, if you prefer... :D

I didn't learn to drive until I was 23 or something, and luckily not in a place that has hook turns.

Happy birthday, Vladders!

Though as somebody who can't drive and would love to, I cannot understand why anybody would defer learning to drive.

Thanks. I don't know what I'm taking for it, I just take the pills my mother gives me :uhoh:.

The ear drops are for pain, but unfortunately they only work 1-2 hours at a time, but they're as needed so...

Whenever I get an infection, I use amoxycillin and prednisolone and they work very well (though my last infection was so bad that I had to switch to another medicine for a while as my body was ceasing to respond well to the amoxycillin). On the occasions when I've had to go to a doctor other than my own, the medications they've prescribed have been less effective.

Neither of those is to treat pain though. My infections usually aren't painful; I just go deaf. Though remember my first one, back in '08? My doctor gave me some pretty fucking powerful painkillers for those.

So Vladders, now that you're an old codger, what'd you do to celebrate your latest accumulation of years?

I remember that ear infection. You were freakin' miserable for almost a month. Didn't you end up having to have surgery? No, that was your nose. Never mind.

My body is really trying hard to have a cold. I've got a nasty cough and I could have a runny nose and a sore throat if I allowed it. But I don't and therefore, I only have the cough. Mind over matter. I'll probably be whining next week about being crook, I have tempted the cold and it will likely turn around and kick my ass now.

Another temptation: To trace over my drawing of Axver and make it digitally remastered and fabulous. :hmm:
