If the Jets allow Indy or San Diego to backdoor their way into the playoffs, I will club a baby seal.

Hey, I'm happy with how we played in the 2nd half.

After one of the ugliest and most embarrassing 1st halves you could possibly imagine, we outscored em in the 2nd half, holding them to 3 points, while delivering some legitimately crushing hits in the process. I think Urlacher might have literally killed Aaron Hernandez on that one knock early in the 4th quarter. It's the old Bears cliche - they got the convincing win, but we didn't let them leave without at least a few heavy bruises. And Jay was able to put together a couple of nice looking drives, only to finish them with some poor decisions. He's fine.

The Patriots are a great football team. Chalk this up to a 1st half complete ass-pounding, and move on to next Monday.

First place in the division.

The Jets forgot their swagger.

The moral? Don't fuck with Ray Lewis.

Lol Chad Henne threw for like 50 yards.

Not only does this prove how horribly awful he is and how bad the Dolphins offense is, but it also says something about the Jets. The Dolphins defense is great, but the Jets should've clobbered us with how much Henne/Henning was putting our defense out to dry.

I had no idea you were a Pats an laz? Given all the vitriol against NE in these threads I felt rather outnumbered.

I think the Pats have the strongest following of the regular Interference PEUP posters: you, phanan, randhail, laz, speedracer, myself and DRay when he's looking for fantasy points.

On the plus side, Henne did manage to stay inbounds and swallow the ball on a busted rollout late in the game, which at least one team failed to do against the Jets.

dear mother nature,

tell me how my ass tastes

-tom brady

"Bitch, go make me a sandwich!"

The Bears defense will be able to discuss the culinary delights of Brady's anus along with Mama Nana.

Strange to brag about "holding the Pats to three points" in the second half when the game was already over by halftime. I doubt the Pats offense was playing with the same sense of urgency, esp against the idea of Jay Cutler mounting a big comeback.

Trent Dilfer said he hadn't seen a offense like the Pats this year since the 1994 49ers. Made me smile.

The only thing that would make me happier than the Eagles missing the playoffs would be the Redskins exiling Dan Snyder on one of his many exotic islands.

Alright, seems I'm always in these threads when the haters are out in full force and not around when the supporters are here. I do know there's a lot of New Englanders around the Blue Crack though.

I won't be one of those fans who hides when his team gets whooped.

One thought that kept crossing my mind during the game was this...it's a shame that NE has similar weather and knows how to play in wind and snow. I won't sit here and say I think we would have won this game for sure if the weather was good. I do think things would have been different.

I guess I'm saying in my own way that the Pats are better than the Bears. But I wonder if there is any team in the entire NFC that could beat New England right now...

Did I hide? Or did I just make a post on this page admitting that the Pats are a great team and that they beat our ass and embarrassed the shit out of us in the 1st half?

Nah, I'm j/k. It's just that, normally, you're all over the thread with in-game comments, but you just lurked during this one, which isn't like you.

Yeah, I was close to making a couple in-game posts.

They would have been along the lines of:

"That Johnny Knox fumble was bullshit, he was down."

"When you tip a Tom Brady pass up in the air in your own end zone and it comes down in your hands, you have to make the fucking interception."

"Cutler looks cute in his big winter coat."

"Cutler just carved up the Pats 2nd string secondary...oh, damn...interception."

"Fuck."

The only thing that would make me happier than the jets missing the playoffs would be the giants winning the super bowl.

Sorry, but I gotta pull for Mark Sanchez anytime he has a chance to keep competent quarterbacks like Peyton Manning and Phil Rivers out of the playoffs.

Urlacher's second tipped ball was pretty sick -- it was at least 3 feet over his head.

Brady is generally excellent at looking off defenders and/or putting the ball where they can't make a play on it, but he's gotten away with a few recently.

I don't know, I hate them all...SD and Indy are scarier opponents but that's for the teams without 1st round byes to worry about.

There's a speedracer on SOSH is that you?

Jackson is an idiot and that was completely unnecessary ... but that should not have been excessive celebration. The call even stated it was after the play, but it was during the play.

Kirby Puckett - proud son of the southside of Chicago

Okay... yea we get the kinda storm you just got often. Two of em last year alone. I didn't think we got worse storms than Minneapolis, but apparently we do.

The difference...less than 10 days later, all of the snow from those two storms were GONE. The snow in Minnesota stays on the ground until late April. Sometimes May.

New England and the Mid-Atlantic states have systems that come in from the west and mix with systems and moisture from the ocean that makes for some ugly weather. These systems also make 20 degree weather feel a hell of a lot colder than the dry air 20 degree weather in Minnesota. I would take 20 degrees at Target Field over 20 degrees at Fenway anyday.

Something that no one has touched on here: IF the Vikings do not get a new stadium out of this situation - L.A. will have NFL soon.

FREE TICKETS to an NFL game in downtown Detroit tomorrow night.

It was nice to see the Bears and the Packers both mimic the Metrodome today.

GAF - I didn't even look above to see if you posted or not. I wasn't referring to you in my post at all.

I have a feeling that you know this, but just in case...I was not "GAFburning" you...or whatever the hell that kid said I did.

Oh yeah, I knew you weren't referring to me. It's all good.

Yo peef, you need to have a word with that Jorrick Calvin guy. That sequence of events he pulled on that last kickoff return was some of the stupidest shit I've ever seen.

I've wanted Jorrick Calvin cut basically all season, and anyone within earshot of me during these games can attest to that.
