The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

I have nothing against Taylor Swift, my daughter is crazy about her. She isn't as technically proficient a singer as Beyonce, but then again she's just a kid. I just actually thought that Beyonce's album was better overall, and I'm not really a huge fan of hers...this most recent album got me liking her a bit more than before.

I'd rather eat my own eyeballs out than listen to Taylor, but, hey, I am a sixteen-year-old non-gay American male, so perhaps that creates some bias in me against her.

I love Beyonce's album. She is a great singer.
me too... I like Taylor Swift cuz basically all girls my age can relate to the lyrics in her songs lol but I loooove Beyonce's music more. Plus she had some really good hits in '09. My list of favorite current girl singers would be: #1-Beyonce #2-Taylor Swift #3-Ingrid Michaelson. :)

yeah and I trust a major news station(CNN) to confirm this kind of stuff over some no name article. So I'm thinking that Bono's not there. Plus he could be doing his part and NYC (where he was this weekend) and send it over to the studios. It doesn't necessarily mean that he's THERE in LA.:hmm:

As for U2 not winning...they wont win any next album either. Hopefully they can get over not winning Grammys anymore, because the next one they win will probably be a lifetime achievement award many years in the future.

Hey guys, we have a poster on Interference that can see the future!

I still don't understand the allure of Taylor Swift...can someone enlighten me?

I DO know that her doing stadium tours is too much too soon...I just don't understand it.:hmm:

I don't either. Her voice is OK, but her music is very, very bland. There's nothing wrong with sweet, wholesome, bland teen pop stars - we've always had them and we always will. But since when do they get awarded Album of the Year? I know the Grammys suck, but that's a whole new level of suckitude.

so what I've been reading in articles about the "We Are the World" collaboration sounds like a whole bunch of singers got together today on choir risers to sing this song. And I think Bono and some others will be singing a different part(solo part) than everyone else singing together meaning that Bono could possibly record his part in whatever part of the world he's in and send it in to the people in LA.

-this article mentions this: "The AP reports Bono, Jason Mraz and Akon are also slated to appear on the track."
(I think slated to appear means solo parts)
-and abc news mentioned this: "Pink, Celine Dion, Natalie Cole, the Jonas Brothers, Kanye West, Tony Bennett, Jennifer Hudson, Akon and other musical luminaries stood shoulder to shoulder on risers at Henson Recording studios, singing their hearts out and hoping to help Haiti."

Who the fudge are the Zac Brown Band?

Pink was pretty awesome. Not easy to sing well whilst hanging upside down and spinning. Won't lie - I think she's darned great. Not in love with her latest album, but I still like her.

I really can't stand Pink. I can't pinpoint it but it's just...she grates on me. I can dig pop music. I think Paparazzi is a pretty killer song and I think Gaga is refreshing, don't like all of it - I think Poker Face is garbage but I also sort of like Bad Romance too. What can I say? I love Madonna and she seems to be influenced heavily by her.

I think Taylor is enormously talented, although she doesn't have a great voice, she's got the songwriting chops. At least she can pick up a guitar and write songs unlike most of these fucking hacks.

Bono is in L.A right now for the "We Are the World" reboot

How do you know? I don't think he's in LA and the WATW thing has only been rumoured. Bono's name is automatically mentioned every time someone does something for charity. Bono has been in NY recently, so has Edge. Honestly, I don't think it's a good idea for Bono to appear on that project, the lineup is horrible.

There was some lip syncing last night

Pink was the most obvious.

oh grammy my mammy... who really needs those bullshit events like the grammies, the emmies, the golden globes, the oscars and all the other crappy nomination shows outside of us america. i'm tired to see all the time the same boring faces over the years. its kinda like incest.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Bono won't be part of the rerecording of We are the world. Even E! online who first broke the story aren't mentioning him anymore. I'm pretty glad he's out. If you look at the lineup, it's a shame they are re-doing that song. Without any of the original artists it just won't be the same.
