I just tried pulling tickets at 11:45am. Everyone has GAs except for NJ. Wow. Glad I prioritized yesterday. Good luck everyone else in the general sale.

Jersey is going to be a tough ticket to get. New York is the most populated city in the country and maybe even the world. People come from all over to see U2 there and it is a new stadium and the end of the NA leg plus no Boston/New England show wrapped into one.

if they add a 2nd show on the 20th, that could be the hottest ticket, but it could make getting tickets easier with there being 2 shows.

GA's are already going for $200 on various sites.

Don't forget GA's were going for higher amounts for September shows, then days before there was a huge dump and we could have bought them at face.
I know folks who live outside the NYC area need to plan, etc...but just sayin' :)

Should I use my code for Anaheim or Jersey

So, I'm new to the whole presale thing (hence stuck in the last onsale group) but hope to see the shows in Anaheim and Jersey this time around. I'm trying to choose if I should try for Anaheim or Jersey with the pressale - I'll probably end up using all 4 for one show and then just try the public sale the other.

I'm going for seats in the $95 grouping and not GAs or the really expensive tix.

Anyone have any thoughts on the better use of the code?

Thanks!

i'm glad i bought 2 GA yesterday :)
Lucky guy! :)
They were gone when I tried, but I got a very good seat instead, and there's another shot at GA for a (potential) 2nd show. If the 2nd show is 7/20, any GA 'kinks' would be hopefully worked out. :crack:
With the seat, I could have a chance to try and catch the band coming for soundcheck. I've never met them so that would be a pretty cool thing.

Do you need 4 tickets to one show? If so, do it.

For the first time ever, I'm splitting my code and doing 2 tix for one and 2 tix for another.

$95 seats aren't impossible to get during the general sale, and since your shows are on opposite coasts, you won't have to decide between which try for first in the general sale. So,

sigh so I'm on the last presale, i keep getting 106 which i'm guessing is obstructed view (i can't afford anything other than 55 or 30 dollar tickets). I don't know whether to buy those or just wait for them to add a second NJ show, or wait for PA show and get something better there.

I would love to get GAs, that would be the ultimate, but I doubt I'll be able to afford brokers' price. I'm so sad, I missed them the first time they came around and I think I'm going to miss them again the second time around.

I hate being a broke graduate. Makes me want to tear apart my diploma...

What would you guys recommend? I wish they would add a DC show, but that's probably not going to happen either.

Hmmm.... damnit. I hope they add a second show soon because i don't know if i should try buying it monday morning on the dot for 2 GA's or wait if a second show is announced...

Give it a try Monday morning. It's worth the shot. If you get shut out, there will almost certainly be a 2nd show, and therefore more tries for tickets.

NJ promises to be an awesome show just by virtue of being one of U2's last U.S. shows for a while (a couple of years? hmmm).

Once all of the shows have been announced and the tickets sold, check out the "What Do You Have/Want" Section. There certainly will be trades and sales going on as everyone sorts out their travel plans.

Okay thanks. The only reason monday morning is a hassle is because i had to miss first block of school... and i did that this morning lol I'm not sure if my mom would allow it again. I actually would rather be at the last show of New York just because that would make it all worthwhile coming from chicago!

Well if you get NJ1 tickets, there's great chance to trade them for NJ2 tickets. But, odds are you'll want to see both. (If there is a 2nd NJ show. ps, THERE HAS TO BE!!!)

I tried for Anaheim first - right when they went on sale - but all that was available was way up and borderline behind the stage. Figured if I'm using a presale I want better than that. Then tried Jersey and ended up w/decent seats in the 200 level in the opposite from stage corner. So a little far away but I'd rather be able to see the whole scene in front of me.

I'll try Anaheim in the general sale.

I'm doing section 228B unless I get GAs.
Second night NJ? Wherever--it just needs to happen and I need to be there.

If other shows are added, i cant imagine them being after july 19th. The 19th is the last North American date. Lots of people are planning there ticket purchases and travel arrangements with that in mind. They would totally screw lots of fans if they went to another date after the 19th. So if they add another Jersey show it will most likely be the 17th or 18th. this is just my opinion.

they play in montreal on the 16th, they aren't going to play back-to-back nights in two different cities.

i think it's more likely they play the 19th & 20th, than the 18th & 19th

It's not the first time this has happened. They did the same thing during Elevation, everyone thought the tour would end in LA, and then a couple of weeks later they added more dates and ended up finishing the tour in Miami.

:O Well in that case i hope no dates are after new york. Two nights sounds so much fun... but.... not sure if it would be GA. Maybe nosebleeds 1st then GA...

I really have no idea...... but I do notice that they have always stuck to playing Sundays and Mondays rather than Mondays & Tuesdays. So, from past sschedule,t he 18th & 19th would follow that pattern. But it would be odd them adding a show BEFORE the announced date, right?

Is there a way to see if there's any overhang of seats at the new stadium ? Or where to see how many rows a section has? I'm thinking my seat is good but after reading threads for other venues , I started to wonder. I got sect 143, row 14. Wondering where an overhang if any, would be.

I don't think there's any chance there's an overhang. Check out GIANTS STADIUM LLC mouse over PSL HOLDER on the bottom of the game and then click Seat Views... From looking at the seats across from yours it looks like the entire lower level is open. I'd have to imagine your side is the same.

Why so far in advance? Watch out for those date changes!

I'm thinking now that the tickets are going on sale, a lot of people may book hotels. I can always change the reservation if there are date changes.

Actually, the renderings do have an overhang over the back rows, but it looks comparable to what it was at the old Giants Stadium, starting no lower than the high 30s, so you are absolutely safe from any overhangs.
