I've just read through the Meadowlands info, and I'm happy there is such detailed info regarding parking. I think I might park at the IZOD Center and take a shuttle bus back there. I was there for a Vertigo show 4 years ago and had a surprisingly easy time getting back to my hotel.

And that news about Patterson Plank Road...my Holiday Inn Express is on that road!!!

So my plan for Thursday is: leave Long Island about noon, hopefully get to the hotel by 1:30-2 pm, wait until check-in at 3, then head to the Meadowlands, park, hang out in the car for a while, then into the Stadium...and ultimately, the show!!!

Oh, and if they don't play Breathe or YBR...I will be cry.

oh jeez.. me and julie(skjuls) are staying at the same hotel! So does this mean we will never make to our hotel?

I am on the corner of Platterson Plank Road and Murry Hill Road. They told me that New Jersey Transit has a bus to goes to the stadium and stops at three locations on PPR.

this may be useful to some-

just driving through the area before and i noticed heavy traffic on paterson plank road outside the fairfield inn [i believe]. they're doing massive road work & it's basically bottlenecked into one lane each way. there were only maybe 15 cars in my lane & it was still taking forever to pass, so i can only imagine it being miserable tomorrow & thursday..

also further up the road you can see about 30 truck beds with the staging! it was very cool to see, but i'm a little bit nervous that there's so much left to even be brought into the stadium :yikes: but it seems like they were building through the night, i was on route 3 yesterday around 2am and all the brights were on

on the bright side only about 30 hours till showtime folks!!!! :hyper:

Oh crap, that's my hotel (Fairfield)! Eh, I was going to call anyway and let them know I wouldn't be checking in until after the show, so don't give my room away, but I will be there. Now I'm certain. don't want to battle traffic until after the concert. Then I won't care!

Thanks for the intel, though!

My hotel is right next door to the Fairfield. Yeah, I am extremely worried. Some insiders who are on the local crew that I know informed me that the schedule is extremely tight and as of 6pm today, they weren't even halfway done the setup. He said that it is going to be a nightmare tomorrow trying to get everything ready. U2 might not be able to soundcheck

Everyone who is going Wednesday night, enjoy the show and get home safely! :hyper:

I'll be there Thursday. I just wanna hear Ultraviolet and Unforgettable Fire. The rest is all gravy.

no rain..please

can't wait for the show tomorrow night! but is anyone else concerned about the forecast?? its suppose to rain from like 9:00 am tomorrow morning till 9:00 at night

BTW for those of you who have never seen Muse, they are amazing live

Question on camping tonight?

I was able to get GA tix last minute for my wife and I am surprising her when she gets home from work! She is a huge fan and will want to try and camp out tonight at the stadium. Any advice on where to park and where to camp when we get to East Rutherford?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can't wait to make friends in line!

So this is my first GA show... and my first U2 show. Aaaand my first stadium show.

I was planning on getting to the stadium (by car) at 8am (Thurs) to wait in line. Anyone have any advise or tips? It would be appreciated. Do you think a lot of people will camp out outside the stadium property? I don't think I can manage that.

A friend of mine that is working the local crew has this as an update:

"U2 fans could be very disappointed tomorrow"

None-ths-less, I am off to Jersey. See ya all there!

how can one be dead on about something which hasn't yet been released? so he's dead on about the confirmed rumors?

there would be a riot at the stadium tomorrow if they had to cancel because they didn't finish setup.

Good point HiaS:up:

I saw something posted earlier this evening on Interference that June/July 2010 more N.A. Tour Dates & that is exactly what Shawn said a few days ago..... but technically you are right we should wait until confirmed

I really hope they do not have to cancell holy cow

Hmm^ cancellations would cause utter maddness and the band millions so I doubt they'd cancel..anyway, any suggestions coming from long island as to going thru the city or doing the cross bronx to the tpke which I hate on a good day :hmm:

I really hope that tickets can also be picked up at the IZOD center box office which opens at 11. 4:30 doesn't leave much time to get my ticket and go back to my friend in line

Well in my case i am going solo soooo..... well if the will call opens at 4.30 then i'm screwed i guess hahaha!
