From Music charts, World Top 50 Albums (chart is based on albums sales of the world):
Week 19, providing errors (mine):
Week - Position - Sales - Total 2009 - Artist - Album
07 - 16 - 81.200 - 2.374.500 - Eminem - Relapse
19 - 32 - 40.300 - 3.359.000 - U2 - No Line on the Horizon
29 - 10 - 125.500 - 3.418.500 - Lady Gaga - The Fame
53 - 21 - 67.700 - 2.517.700 - Kings Of Leon - Only By The Night
Lady Gaga passed U2 and is outselling U2 massively each week. However, U2's sales are up 10% from last week in the week MJ died and the 360 Tour started.
U2 passed 3,3 million worldwide in the week before the tour started (probably earlier since this database is supposed to be incomplete).
Great news
So this means that when the media traffic chart is released next Friday, we may see an increase and the album stay the chart? It's currently #40...
No Line was voted BEST album of 2009 so far on Radio 2 in NL this weekend! Beating Dylan, Bruce and a load of local artists. I'm not entirely sure who did the voting, but it sounded like a bunch of DJ's and music critics.
NLOTH is an amazing album. ANd the songs really took off live

Only 19 more weeks left in the Billboard year which ends in November. "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" finished at #8 for the year on this chart in 2005, Achtung Baby finished at #5 for the year in 1992, POP finished at #45 for the year in 1997, Joshua Tree finished at #6 for the year in 1987.
And what about ATYCLB? Did it make the Top Ten for 2001?
As for NLOTH, even if it is not outsold by any new album to be released before next November, it doesn´t look like it will be able to make the Top 10 this year.
ATYCLB had too many of its initial weeks counted in the year 2000, preventing it from making the top 10 in 2001.
NLOTH probably will not make the top 10 for the Billboard Year which ends in November, but it still has a chance to make the soundscan top 10 who's year runs from January 1 to December 31. On that chart its at #6 for the year at this point.
