DC, Charlottesville, Atlanta, Tampa, Los Angeles, Vancouver Pre-Sale & General Sale

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Yeah, also got the "no available" at 10:00 exactly. Then tried again, and when I saw my wait time go from 3... to 4... to 5, I knew there was no hope. What a let down.

You know what? In every sale I went for 8 tickets, I got thru.

In only 2 sales where I went for 2 tickets, did I get thru.

I'm seeing a pattern: if you ask for 8 tickets at 10:00 am immediately, it blocks off those 8 quicker than it would 2. I think going for higher numbers increases your chances, not decreases

Hey folks! .... Check out this ad I just found on Craigslist here in LA!! LOL:

"hi i got 2 GA Tickets for U2 360 tour rose bowl oct 25 2009 im asking 3000 for both or 1700 for one"

:ohmy::lol:

Yeah with so many people getting 4xGA during the presales they were probably all snatched up. Darn I was thinking if I just asked for 1 it would give me a good shot at a ticket.

Damn...I had some behind the stage for Vancouver but decided to not take them. I don't mind where I sit...on the ceiling for all I care, it's the just people I'm with I worry about.

i got a single ga for la and so did my sister. but i got denied my first time in and had to go back and try again and that is when it pulled up.

Sweet got 1 GA for LA, whoops I mean I HAD 1 GA for LA but the system gave me an error and dumped it back into the pool and then instantly gave me a 15 minute wait. What shady fuckers TM is.

Congrats!
Very happy to hear that there are people out there that were able to get GA's in the general sale.

Damn, that SUCKS!

Hubby was checking availability - got 25L, row 25 ($96) {Behind the stage)
This is when he tried 'best available'.
(and yes, 10-15 minute wait)

I'm beginning to think I was extremely lucky or I made a mistake but I was able to go straight in at 10 and picked up 2 GA's for LA no problem - I thought that the talk on the forums was that they were not going to sell out the US stadiums and hence i attrubuted the ease of GA's to that fact.

Now I am worried because I looked at my TM confiormation and the section says FIELD - are these GA's? Quite pricey ($134 odd dollars for both) after the service charges though - I hate TM charges

I'm pretty stoked for my Vancouver tickets. I went with GA for Toronto and New York but I wanted to sit(stand) beside the stage for Vancouver. I wanted any of the following sections 214, 215, 216, 238, 239, 240 and I got section 240, row U. I'm guessing that's roughly row 21 or something. Anyways the seats are on the 45 yard line. Almost perfect I'd say. Only concern is with on of the legs blocking our view of the far side. We'll see.

Toronto - GA
New York - GA
Vancouver - section 240

I'm set and PUMPED UP for fall 2009! :hyper:

Gabe, this is what I've been trying to tell people about. By any chance, did the tickets you requested happen to be GAs?

From my experience with TicketMaster in this tour, it looks like the higher the number of tickets in the request for GA in general sales, the better your chances are in getting them from the pool.

I'm thinking for GA, we're all going to the same pool of tickets, because it's not like it has to check which sections are available with that many seats. Thus I believe TM system gives priority to people with a larger number of tickets in their requests for GA. It might explain why my requests for single GA ticket kept getting bumped in the queue whenever I tried to get one from general sales.

Keep trying!!!!! I got my tickets for Vancouver in about 2 minutes but my brother ahd to wait nearly ten minutes. Finally he ended up with club seats. Pretty sweet. He didn't want to pay $250 per ticket but i told him he'd be a fool to have tickets and then not buy them. He bought them. Keep trying and keep watching for a second show

For the presale, I purchased 3 $250 tickets with my code for Vancouver. I got section 241, row HH.

For the public sale, I purchased 2-$250 tickets in section 238, row DD which is a lot closer and a better view.

How the hell does that work? Why am I further away with my presale tickets?

got 4 behind the stage for $150 total

26-L Row 60-something

this was on the phone, online didnt pull up any $30 section behind the stage ... wondering if that high up i'll be staring at the roof of the stage and not the band

:up:Yeah, those are GA's ... Quick question - Do you live in the LA area or somewhere else? (Because I have heard about people having better success in the general sales if they are accessing TM from an area away from the concert city.)

Yeah I heard some people were having problems buying Vancouver tickets from the Ticketmaster.ca site. I was trying for Van tix too, but from the US site. I scored GAs immediately.

^Damn, I should have used the US site. I got nosebleeds for Vancouver, but at least I'm going. I'll probably try to buy some better tickets before the concert though.
