Chicago, Boston, East Rutherford, Toronto Pre-Sale Thread #2

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Sorry to burst your bubble Toronto people, but if GAs aren't available by Breathe/Boots presale, I DOUBT they would be available in the general presale.
I bought Toronto GAs in the horizon presale and mine were 'GA21', i.e. 21st section allotment, suggesting they had sold quite a few sections already before those.

They only allot a certain number of tickets for presales and leave a good chunk for general onsale. They never put everything up for presales.

I bought a new code for the US so I'll be trying tonight for 2 seats in Boston and 1 NY GA....good to see things are still available right now.

OK, I got 2 GAs for Giants Stadium. Relatively painless. GA0 Seats 615-616. So it looks like they've only sold 616 GA tickets so far. Not that much if you ask me....

Er, not sure what order they are going in w/Giants Stadium but my order yesterday (at approx. five minutes into the pre-sale) was GA4 Seat 413.

Cngratulations to everyone who got their tickets! And thanks for people's thoughts on second shows in the U.S. I'll wait until after 3/30 to check in on that again. I wonder if they'd even open the show immediately after the first shows sell out? I know I've seen that happen on the morning of on sales before.

i got sec 140 row 9 at gillette for 90+ dollars - how bad are those seats - what do u guys think

i had an issue with my credit card going through and lost some great seats - i am not pleased

I'm pretty sure there will be some for the general sale. I think they just put a certain number up in the pre-sale.

Re Toronto...I heard, and this is just heard, that all field GAs were thrown at the U2.com and Bills presales and that if they're gone in presale, they are gone period. That defies comprehension based upon just how many people the field can hold, but that is what I heard.

I also heard that NO field level GAs are being thrown at any potential U2.com presales for any potential additional Toronto shows, that they will all be just general public sold.

Please don't shoot me, just what I heard. I actually heard this a day ago but I felt it too outlandish to post. But with what has been happening for Breathe members...and by extension I would imagine Boots members, it's starting to sound closer and closer to the situation, sadly.

Having said that, does anyone have any examples of what the $95 tier gets ya at the Rogers Centre?

will i be able to see from across the stadium - i have never been to a stadium show

I'm glad I don't want to go to Toronto not to sound snobbish

I was on right at 10am for the BREATHE presale for Toronto. I waited patiently while it searched... 1 minute... 2 minutes... 3 minutes... all while it said my wait time was less than 1 minute. The search logo stopped rotating, but I followed the directions and resisted all urges to refresh or go back for fear of losing my place in line. After 5 minutes of waiting the ticket order page appeared with 4 GAs! I quickly clicked on the link to continue to buy the tickets, and was greeted with "You have exceeded your time limit...". I was forced to search for new tickets, and by then all of the GAs were gone. I am not impressed.

That sucks! Why would they put all of the GA's in the presale?

A deals site posted the link to the Bills presale at ticketmaster but people reported only being able to get 500 level tickets. Not sure where the other GAs are going. I do agree with the previous poster that the baseball configuration is limiting the GAs available.

That's too bad man. I think you had a browser issue or maybe overloaded cache/temp files situation. Or your ISP had a hiccup. I had recommended in the first presale thread that people do some cleaning and maintenance, close all other applications, that type of thing, prior to 10 am. I even made sure I had the most recent Flash player and turned off my firewall briefly lol. You want your browser running lightning fast and nothing impeding you!

Not really, it's a football stadium as well. Kindof less stands seating than most football stadiums, but the field size is adequate.

Yes and no, again, lol.

It is also the home of the CFL's Toronto Argonauts - and now Buffalo Bills sometimes play there. It can handle an NFL regulation field.

I thought the Bills played there sometimes and was wondering about the CFL.

Like I said, it defies comprehension but man why are Breathe members unable to get GAs? THAT many Horizon members were out there yesterday? Seems unbelievable!

It didn't seem like that many people went for the Toronto show, but not everyone with a code posts on here

The configuration changes depending on the event. It is both a baseball and football stadium. Seating changes, and so does the endzone/or homerun wall - which is removable.
