is this a more regional italian custom?
I have one friend of "mixed heritage"! Mainlain Italy & Sicilain. And another one was from mid-Italy (mainland). I've never heard anyone mention it before.

My mother's side of the family is very Italian. Her maiden last name is Brocera. I have some friends whose family also has this dinner on Christmas Eve.

And it's nice to hear that there are still some Italian familys doing this tradition (I heard about this from Giada De Laurentiis' progam on the Food Network) :up:
 
It's always great when it's with family. Everyone talking and having a dinner.

I was sending out a Holiday Message en masse ( a few) to my relatives......since I haven't made a card yet..........

It would have gone quickly but but I FORGOT...
on the puter system I usually work on.........
the Bells & Whistles for the web e-m site I use most--
are Dectivated!

I haven't sent e-mail from the Net Cafe here in
?? over ayear or more, and what a year it's been sometimes.....

.....so I wnet on there and ZOOMO suddenly all the Bells & Whistles were there :lol:and YOU KNOWI can almost never resist Bells & Whistles Artistically & Design-wse!:drool::giggle:

so it took me like 20 mins + instread of 7 mins! :lol: :der:

I'm going back to some other threads, but I'll try to return in 5-10mins.

I might be on Fri, a quick sneak-in Sat and then probably (unless Fri) not on for any length of time like this until Monday & Tues.

i know I've gotten and will recieve some more Gift monies-- so I splurged tonight-
first time I really got over to EYKIW in a while, AND actually do some posting there!
and ESPECIALLY~~ Where The ALbum Has a Name! :hyper::hyper:

Luckily for me I have some seriously Interseting, chalanging (in both good aND MORE DIFFICULT BUT ULTIMATELY -IF I GET IT GOING BETTER- also REALLY HELPFUL/WONDERFUL for My Art Future) & fun Art , Artisan Jewelry, and crochet/knit projects, now aND over the winter , and throughout (I hope & :pray:) the whole 2009 year ahead, and beyyyonnndddd!!!

SO that the wait for NLOTH :heart: for me will be sorta frustrating but I got plenty of "distractions" for the above to keep me (mostly) happily buy!

It would also help if you cleaned out your PM box...I got this:

I have accumulated over 500 PMs while I've been premium... I'd have to delete all but 25 (or less, whatever the limit for non-prems is) before I can receive any more PMs as a non-prem, since my inbox is crammed full at the moment... I figure it's easier to wait a few days and pay up again. :wink:

:nerd: So it was a fish and seafood dinner then.

We had lobster too :drool: I so love lobster.


And I was glad I could finally taste something! I'm still a bit under the weather but the flu is gone!

Tonight we're going to gourmet :drool: More good food.

:lol: And tomorrow friends of my parents are coming over so we're finally eating turkey, since it's too big for the four of us.
 
We did clam chowder for Christmas Eve (tradition in our family) and then a ham for xmas dinner. It was really nice and MrZ's and my parents got on famously. *phew*

Today is rainy and windy and cold so I'll probably be on the computer a lot, between setting up the new Hot Wheels set and building the new Lego plane. :hyper:
