Haha, yeah, the Fly is heavy imo too. I'm a wimp XD.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind. It is rare that I'm in the mood for heavy music. And even if I am, I'd usually just listen to something I'm familiar with.

When I was fifteen or sixteen, I really dug The Fly and Acrobat as heavy. Then I discovered death metal.

Not to keep harping on about PT, just that you mentioned listening to In Absentia earlier - I'd say you'd be much more interested in songs like Trains or Prodigal or Collapse The Light. I wouldn't say much on the album actually goes into borderline metal territory, but Wedding Nails definitively does, so I wouldn't blame you if you skipped that. The band themselves now wish they'd put Drown With Me (a softer track) on the album instead of Wedding Nails.

Well, Ashley, the next logical steps for you are Talking Voice Vs. Singing Voice and Everyone Makes Mistakes.

I fell asleep. Sorry Ax

I had to pause due to my mother phoning and then needing to cook dinner. I'm on the Pedro The Lion track right now. Rather enjoyed the previous song, the one by The Prayer Chain.

What do you think I should play next? My rankings so far:

1. Silver
2. Gold
3. The Fashion Focus

Anyway, you've passed the shoegaze and listened to the least accessable of the pop-rock albums of theirs.

I guess there's still some shoegaze on Americana

I must say, I think SF59's heavy shoegaze aesthetic is quite strong. It's surprised me a little, given you tend to expect the best shoegaze to come from the Scene That Celebrates/-ed Itself in England.

I will listen to In Absentia if I ever get around to renewing my Napster subscription. I am curious to hear Trains most of all. If you'd ever listen to my DIV list :)p) you'd know I <3 Collapse

Okey doke.

Andrew, I don't know what people are on about with bashing the middle part of your list. This is clearly better than the first part.

The art of making a list everyone can like a part of also has its consequences: everyone only likes parts. No one likes the whole.

:reject: Pester me tomorrow and I may play it after the Bathurst 1000.

By the way, if we were to send you files with names like "Trains.txt" and then, once you download it, you change it to "Trains.mp 3", would your university be none the wiser you're downloading music?
