Seems we have a lot in common (a fellow T-Bayer whose a GA virgin as well ).

Even though I`ve never done GA before my advice would be to get there early and when they let you in: RUN!

Easy on the running! Not sure how strict they're going to be, but in TO they had security every so often along the ramps telling people not to run... a couple buddies of mine apparently *skipped* down the ramp  but I'd personally advise a really fast walk, or maybe a jog if you can make it look like you're not running

 Skipping sounds like fun. I`m gonna do that. A fast skip that is

What, you're not spending money on a Favre jersey? Better get one before he retires again, then joins the Browns/Buccaneers/Panthers next year.

I almost bought one today. I finally found one in womens sizes that aren't light pink or yellow :yuck: but it was $60 and I just gave U2 a ton of money this week so I decided to skip the purchase.

Yeah, I cringe when I see the sports jerseys in pink.

So do I - and as a woman it's insulting to me that merchandisers think they have to make things in pink (in general) to appeal to women... HELLO, women are sports fans too! If I buy a Leafs jersey (well I already have one ) I want it to be in the blue and white, not some crap neon colour or pink that some idiot marketer thinks women like! (Let's not even start on the radio commercials for baseball/football - again, women listen too! If FAN590 runs that :censored: "enhanced male breast tissue treatment clinic" commercial during the baseball games next year I'll scream! :madwife: The only good thing is on radio we're spared the Cialis/Viagra/whatever idiocy... thank God the radio commercials for the Leafs on AM640 are decent!)

Oh hell yeah :hi5:

 Thank you Thank you! I'll make it worth your while :D Last time I was up there a very nice lady we met took my wife and I to Costco and I ended up with 2 boxes of them :reject: That was when they had the maple flavor as well.

BTW, Drea, you're the second biggest Leafs fan on here

Tickets are going to be tough to get tomorrow. Be ready folks!

I think it is going to be crazy....I am so glad I was able to score 2 GA's...I have my fingers crossed for those Interferencers in the General sale!!

Another note....I checked yesterday and the Days Inn is sold out...thanks Kramwest for letting us know the hotels close to the stadium!!

The 10000 tickets going to the students!!

Okay, I'm sorry, but as a student here at the U of M, I can't keep reading this stuff and not get upset. You guys have no idea how much fucking money each and every one of us students has put into that stadium through fees and the like (I guarantee you it's more than a U2.com membership...or several), and this is the first big event (other than the football season games) that will be held there. It's a thank you to the students for contributing so heavily to the building of that stadium.

And, as somebody else said earlier, most of the student population is gone by then. Sure, some will come back for the show, but there's plenty of you guys who aren't students traveling to Minneapolis to see the concert as well. It's not really any different.

After all that: good luck to everybody in the general sale! Hope everyone gets tickets and the ones they're looking for.

I never thought of it that way.....sorry if I offended you....I think some of us were just really concerned when we saw that number!

I was talking with a coworker today who's also a midwest native, and he had nothing but great things to say about this new stadium.

Oh, no worries, I wasn't offended in the slightest, I just wanted to get a student's viewpoint in there. If you're all interested in the specific numbers, each and every student here (over 60,000 at last count) has paid $12.50 every semester toward a "stadium fee," (yeah, damn, do those numbers, right?) so by the time I leave, I'll have purchased the equivalent of nearly 4 U2.com memberships. You are right though, 10,000 tickets is a lot, but I think as somebody else may have mentioned, there weren't GAs released to students. I was on at exactly noon and couldn't pull anything better than lower level, in the corners of the stadium (which I took, and am not complaining about, especially for $30...well, $40 with Ticketbastard fees, it'll be a fantastic show).

I actually haven't been there yet. The U2 show will be the first time that I am. But, everything I've heard has been fantastic as well.

Wow...there are already 1500 tickets on the secondary market!!!!

Ouch. I guess that was bound to happen, student presale or not though.
