Top 10 Overrated Songs

1. Bullet The Blue Frickin' Sky! God, didn't like it when it came out in 1987; don't like it now!
2. Sunday Bloody Sunday - Can be great live, but the album track leaves me cold.
3. Mofo - Good beat, weak chorus.
4. Pride - In '83 when War was all over the place, I was on the verge of becoming a big U2 fan. Then Pride came out. Delayed me from becoming a full blown fan until '87.
5. Out of Control - Ditto to SBS
6. Wake Up Dead Man - More Pink Floyd than U2. Never known anyone that likes this song except Interferencers.
7. Stuck In A Moment - How this made the Billboard Hot 100 and Walk On didn't is beyond me.
8. Even Better Than The Real thing - Ditto to Mofo.
9. Discotheque - That bubblegum line and the "boom-cha"'s make for a rediculous song.
10. In A Little While - It's like a poor summer blockbuster movie. At first blush, pretty good; but upon further reflection, kinda bland.

Special Mentions:

A. New Years Day - I like the song, but it never changes and it's over played. First U2 song I heard/saw on MTV and loved it. But it's faded for me.
B. Numb - Coming Off of the power of Achtung Baby we get Edge's dry vocals and Bono's falsetto. Then there's that fingernails-on-chalkboard guitar slide...

In A Little While is definitely overrated. I think it's pretty damn bad actually. It's alright, but I've never been able to get my head around it.

EVTTRT I agree with you on the chorus there. It's very lacking. The bridge (my heart is where it's always been and you're honey child to a swarm of bees) is some of the best work on Achtung Baby IMO.

I agree with Axver and actually, I find Stay (faraway, so close) much more emotional and beautiful for me than One, even if I think that One is a great song.

Stay > One in my opinion.

It is in 9th so I only looked for that two gems that he put in 1st and 2nd. It's his opinion but I think those songs have the credit they deserve.

ISS: I have always liked that song, I don't understand why some people compare it with EP&A, it is much better. I send it to a friend of mine who isn't too much keen on U2 some months ago and he liked.

You'd be surprised at how often both Indian Summer Sky and Elvis Presley And America are mentioned around here as being good songs. I could do without them on The Unforgettable Fire myself. Imagine if The Three Sunrises and Love Comes Tumbling were in their place.

EPAA probably should've been a b-side, I can agree there, but ISS is a classic. Some bleak vocal imagery complemented by very appropriate music. I actually think it hits at what was to come with Streets (the build-up) and Bullet (general feel).

1. Beautiful day - good song, but its no where near as good as many people say it is and is ridiculously over played. Its not even the best song on ATYCLB.
Don't get me wrong, I like this song, but it isn't as good as its hype and is by far the most overrated U2 song IMO.
Most non-U2 fans consider this one of their best, truth is that this song isn't even close to U2 at their best.

2. Stuck in a moment - I find this song incredibly cheesey.
