He's gay! I already have enough gay husbands. Jesus, every time I like a guy he turns out to be gay!

But no, my alien and I are just friends. But we've been together six and a half years now

That's cute.

But yeah, I'd have kept my distance too.

your skills will improve once you continue studying in college. or you could take up a completely new language if you wanted to. students typically don't study abroad until the 3rd, 4th, (or 5th) year. you will probably have a better idea of where you want to go once you're in your major though.

Oh, I know. I was just noting that it narrows the list.

I would love to go to Ireland and meet all my second cousins that live there. (except the ones that are suspected IRA members )

I'm still wondering how well I'd do living in a city. I'm not sure. Part of me thinks it's perfect for me, part of me thinks once I get there I'll hate it.

Yeah, I'm on my fourth year of high school Spanish. I definitely want to stick with it as my language, as it's the most applicable and the one I've already got a base for.

It's funny, I remember the grammar from year to year but forget all the actual word meanings.

One way to find out. They're not for everyone, but, I hope you give it a try at least once...the city I am currently am in is fantastic and I feel lucky to be here, even if it's not long term. But I'm an urban kid and such environments speak to me...for me, the question is can I down the road live in a more suburban or even more rural area eventually.

I really want to stay in the Philly area, that much I know. But in the city or in the suburbs? I don't know. I like the suburbs, but there's lots of them, and I'd like to be a little closer than 35 minutes away. I'm not sure.

I love the Philly environment, though, that I know I want to stick around for.

Dammit!

Why is the world against me? It was bad enough that I was born too late and in the wrong country to ever be a gothic East German prostitute! It was all I wanted, was that so much to ask?

when i went to mexico, i was embarrassed because it had been years since i'd taken a spanish course, and i could hardly remember anything. then we were taken to this farm up in the mountains, and the mother went into the room i was in, and wanted to talk to me but didn't know how. so, i just started talking. i didn't realize how much of it i had remembered! i think likewise, if you're in a situation where you've no choice but to speak it, some of the stuff will come back to you. i was able to maintain conversation for a very long time.
