I can't believe that they had a number of #1 singles. Nowadays, their music would never get near the charts. I don't get why people have gone off instrumentals.

Axver, I need recommendations for really bad, hilariously-cliched death metal, stat. Give me your worst. I need to get started on some Octavium lyrics soon, especially if we're kicking off DI5 as early as late summer.

But i'm hoping that by the end of this year i won't have to push out 2500 word essays again. How many times do we need to prove we can regurgitate information?

I suppose at least i have 'real' assignments in my other classes to an extent, but usually they all are going to need some over-researched essay at some stage.
It drives me mad that one of my tutors actually had to go over the use of apostrophes in a third year tutorial because that many people in the class didn't fucking get it. WHAT DID YOU PEOPLE DO IN HIGH SCHOOL? It's maddening to have to hear this over and over again.

I keep on having to write 2,000 word essay after 2,000 word essay. It's doing my head in. It's so blandly repetitive, and the veneer of originality expected for a top mark is laughable at best. I'm only interested when I get to do work on New Zealand, as most of the fields I specialise in there are woefully under-researched, so I feel like what I'm doing has tangible use beyond just getting a good mark.

Because the world would be a dark, dreary place without brilliant lyrics like these:

I've never actually listened to Cannibal Corpse. Look up the lyrics and you will see why.

Children Of Bodom's latest album or two are terrible as well.

Thanks. I'm going to brush up on some Mars Volta for musical inspiration.

They're shockingly similar. Khia's is far more disgusting, however.

How about Chainsaw Gutsfuck by Mayhem?

Bleed down to the fucking core
You're going down for fucking more
Screw your slimy guts
Driving me fucking nuts!

Chainsaw in my bleeding hands
As I start to cut you in two
Your guts are steaming out
And I just love the sight!

Maggots crawling in her cunt
I just love to lick that shit
Bury you in a slimy grave
You will rot forever there!

So I made a couple prog CD's for my dad and he loved Benighted by Opeth. Prog is not dead no matter what he used to think.

Khia's is just ... vile. I'm yet to hear a song worse. I mean, sure, there are goregrind bands out there singing far worse things, but it has a conscious shock element.

OMG...there are so many twisted bastards out there. I need to mix in some plain ol' emo too, but I have my based covered in that department. That fuckin' genre is everywhere.
