My father is convinced that historical trends say Labour will win, since as the election gets close, National will slip down to 43-45% support, and although Labour will only get around 40-42%, they will get the support of the Greens and NZ First and stay in power.

I had to hold my tongue and not blurt out "ROCK THE FUCK ON!" when he said that.

Huh, I don't recall ever seeing that on my visits to Jeebuschurch. Though I might've.

And what you say about the Avon is quite true indeed. But here's the big question: Ay-von or Av-on?

My mother and I having hot drinks together is always funny. What I consider to be just about too hot, to the point I can only sip it, she considers lukewarm and would scull it. She likes her coffee and hot chocolate scaldingly hot.

I didn't realise there was anything other than the first option.

Huh. I was thinking it over in my mind and thought Ay-von was too Australian and surely Av-on was the Kiwi way.

Now I'm just confused!

That's the same as my mother. While the tea is too hot for me to even bother reaching for the cup she's already pouring her second cup.

Perhaps we're just soft.

Man, how does anyone do that? My mum's like that too. I mean, I can understand people eating really spicy food quickly, I do that. But with drinking something that's literally hot, you'd think it'd be harmful in some way.

I feel this photo is perhaps a bit washed out by the evening sunlight. But then my entire life is washed out by light, so perhaps this is just Welcome To Axverland?

In any case, here's an EDI Comeng running from Jolimont to Flinders Street. This train would've been packed with punters from an AFL game at the G.

The park bench served as a great quad(???)-pod for this shot
