Oh, that's sort of obvious, I guess, though it doesn't really mean anything to me. What they need is one down south. Glenelg isn't south enough!

There's no contest between Chicago rails and Chicago buses I will never ride a Chicago bus again if I can avoid it. Worst experience ever, but still not as bad as Ft. Worth's buses. THOSE were bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad.

I guess perhaps I do have a slightly sick obsession with Chicago's L-trains the more I think about it. I sort of suddenly understand your love Ax And yet, still not at all

There's enough artists out there that I love that I will never get to see, I don't know if I want him added to the list. On the other hand, I really wanted to go with my dad, and it would be weird going without him, but $400? He's not U2
i know what you mean. i didn't get to see lou reed a couple weeks ago cuz i had to work (plus it was an outdoor concert at a festival and it rained hard the day before) and i hated it. i hope i get another chance to see him.

plus my friend's friend turned around and met him today!

can your dad at least pay for his ticket?

I wish I'd gone to The Cure.

But then I remember it was going to be $100 for shit seats, so I don't mind that I didn't as I really only like 17 Seconds, Faith, Pornography, and Disintegration.

Dad's argument is that he doesn't care about seeing them as much as I do I've a mind to go without the brat.

i never used any public transportation (aside from cabs) when i went to chicago, actually. there was none near my hotel, and most of the time i just walked. best transportation there is

but i did kind of regret i didn't find a way to take advantage of the rail system, but i didn't do any research on where it went and such, so i had no idea if it would've helped me out or not.

Yeah, I hear the L-train is pretty damn good. Illinois in general seems to be one of the few US states that vaguely gets public transportation right. The US is still recovering from how strong the car and bus lobby is, and the influence it wielded in the 1950s and 1960s.

I avoid buses whenever I can. Melbourne's tend to be decent, but unspectacular.
