New dreams? Who needs new dreams? I'll take these regular run-of-the-mill dreams right here, thank you very much. The Joshua Tree is alive and well and living in my highly active imagination, which also contains a ghost town inhabited only by me and four familiar fellows.

And a pump. One of them old-fashioned pumps with the long handles and the horse troughs. First you work up a sweat . . . then you wash it off.

Oh, the pictorial possibilities of the pump . . .
