Had the new album on Spotify at work yesterday, and it didn't really stand out .... then I played it at home, and it's much better when it's not quiet background music.

Pleasantly surprised by this. I loved, loved, loved their first two albums, and then was disappointed by Beautiful Garbage (save for 1 or 2 songs). Bleed Like Me was better, but still nowhere near the first two.

So yeah, happy with the new one.

Looks like I may be seeing them twice. Got 2 GA's to the Garbage/Flaming Lips show in Madison Aug. 9th.

I saw them last night in Montclair, NJ along with a half empty crowd. Didn't matter. They played the hell out of that room, and it made the show so much more intimate. For the first time in my life I was one row off the rail. They were incredible. Met the band after the show as well. They were all so sweet and humble. Got my picture with Shirley too.

Yeah, they do seem to have a genuine appreciation for their fans for sure.
