Best : "He saw the hands that build could also pull down....
The hands of love."

"In my dream I was drowning my sorrows But my sorrows they learned to swim Surrounding me, going down on me spilling over the brim"

I'm a man, I'm not a child A man who sees The shadow behind your eyes"

"Can - You - hear - me - when - I - Sing, you're the reason I sing You're the reason why the opera is in me"

worst- A mole digging in a hole

Best
You've got to cry without weeping, talk without speaking, scream without raising your voice.

Worst
The air is heavy - heavy as a truck.

Love the song but I can't stand that line.

I'm with you, edge_2125. The rest of the lyrics are fine, but that one just doesn't work.

And I have no compass
And I have no map
And I have no reasons
No reasons to get back

And I have no religion
And I don't know what's what
And I don't know the limit
The limit of what we've got

Don't worry baby, it'll be alright
You got the right shoes
To get you through the night
It's cold outside, but brightly lit
Skip the subway
Let's go to the overground
Get your head out of the mud baby
Put flowers in the mud baby
Overground

No particular place names
No particular song
I've been hiding
What am I hiding from

Don't worry baby, it's gonna be alright
Uncertainty can be a guiding light
I hear voices, ridiculous voices
Out in the slipstream
Let's go, let's go overground
Take your head out of the mud baby

She's gonna dream up
The world she wants to live in
She's gonna dream out loud
She's gonna dream out loud
Dream out loud

It's half the song, but I love it. Those lyrics are incredible.

I also love all of Stuck in a Moment. Love love love.

Acrobat too.

Gone too :)

"In my dream I was drowning my sorrows
And my sorrows, they learned to swim
Sorrounding me
Going down on me
Spillin' over the brim"

One of my favorites.

Fav line

And you feel like no one before
You steal right under my door
i kneel cause i want you some more
i want the lot of what you've got, and i want nothing that your not

Everywhere you go you shout it, you don't have to be shy about it....

 i love that lyric more then anything, i think bono is just maginificent for getting the essense of being a human and the way u feel...

GOD there are so many good lyrics..

and :madspit: to elevation haters... that song is brilliant, maybe not poetry in motion but it makes me

worse: i'll give you everything you want, except the thing that you want

I *get* it, but i hate how he said it. it makes me wonder how he can be so RIGHT in a song, then get it so WEIRD and yucky...

Top choice!! That lyric from sometimes you cant make it on you own makes the song what it is!

A lyrical genius....that has just came on my mp3 player...oooo that was spooky!

There are tons, but a fav that immediately comes to mind is
"can't sing but Ive got soul, the goal is elevation" :)
