The real blink is back together?!? ??
If less bands are touring, doesn't it affect the promoters and ticket sellers, as well as the venues? Something else will have to give. Though I suppose companies like Live Nation and Ticketmaster will be fine because they will still make money off the bigger artists who are able to tour and charge a lot to do so.
My copy has Anthem Part Two Live From Chicago at the end, one of their punk thrashers, with an adlib at the start about a kid in his high school PE class getting a boner. it's completely incongruous haha. Definitely gonna go to the 2024 show. Not too interested in new music though. The self-titled and the hits (of which there's at least a dozen bangers) is all I need.
Yeah, I really think that the venues will feel it soon. So many venues tailor made for mid sized indie acts popped up in the last 10-15 years, I don’t know how they could survive. Maybe we will start getting 50-night LCD Soundsystem residences at Brooklyn Steel every year.
I haven't checked it out yet! I will...
This is awesome news. Listening to the self-titled in honour of it, and I am reminded that it is an all-timer. So good.
blink-182's classic line-up has reformed and will tour Australia in February 2024
Carly dropped another killer album. It seems so easy for her.
It's interesting that we've had convos where people have shat on Pitchfork for going mainstream or being outwardly more diverse (in some ways, Gump makes great points) but then you look at that reader list and it's a classic, boring, straight white male list of 90s records, really.
Really? I thought we'd talked about it before.
Yeah The Wedding Album was one of the first CD's I ever bought (along with Zooropa) when I was 13. It's a pretty good track for that era of Duran Duran. I was always curious what he was saying in what I thought was Spanish at the time.
Such an amazing day for Brazil, and yet Erasmo Carlos couldn’t live to see it. RIP. One of the most under appreciated Brazilian musicians.
