Quite busy (NERVOUS!), but it went ok. What i had to do so far:
- write letters to suppliers in English
- send emails to customers, also in English
- pick up a few phones, more English
- fill out lots of copies of official forms
- i also made a new form for the company
- translate from Slovene to English and vice versa at a meeting
- send faxes to customers/ suppliers
- also i started learning to make invoices
- translate manuals for a product from English to Slovene
Everyone at the company is really nice, so that's another bonus - plus the firm is so close i can either go to work by bus/car/bycicle.
I think i used more English in real life than ever since my high school years, but - i always wanted to have a job which would include my knowledge of the language.
Kobe: my position is commercialist - intern. It means the job lasts for 6 months, but it's a start and i really felt closer to being an adult when i was going home on that first day on Monday.
