Can anybody give me some info about parking? I'm thinking about renting a car for the night, and was wondering how much parking at the stadium would cost. As my tickets are at Will Call, I don't remember if parking was even included in that cost. I kinda doubt it. I haven't been able to find any info online about parking prices. Thanks!

Okay, I just checked our flights, and I should be able to make the gathering. I'll have to boogie off to my friend's house that we're staying with soon afterward though. Can't be rude to my host (who's saving me bucks on hotel rooms).

Also, I'm considering wearing my kilt to the show. It only comes out on special occasions, and Red Zone for U2 in Vegas is pretty damn special.

Okay, I'm finally starting to get excited!!

One thing I realized from the Toronto shows is that you don't need to line up all day to get a good spot - however, the Vegas stadium is the smallest on the tour so I'm thinking of going there earlier than I normally would. What time is everyone aiming to line up?

I have been following this thread for a while now but the anticipation of a good weekend has just got too much. so in a mad rush of blood to the head.... time off work..sorted flights from Derry Ireland to vegas.. siena suites.. sorted all i need now is a spare ticket for Las Vegas and LA. have all ready done 3 GA's ( barcelona 2 dublin 3 london 2). so if anyone has a spare by any chance... thanks

Excellent! sounds like me-stumbled on this thread after the Boston shows, booked at the Sienna (It's $69/night now with AAA discount.) and am looking at flights. They're all pricey right now which is lousy. Any advice as to going direct through an airline vs a site like orbitz? Seems prices are all $350-$400 R/T. I keep looking...

Search on Orbitz or Expedia, but buy directly through the airlines' site; it's often cheaper. Also, Southwest doesn't show up on Orbitz, I think, so check their site directly. Allegiant Air flies to some non-major cities, too. Depending on where you live, you can check Sun Country Airlines, also.

It's getting close enough that airfares are probably as good as they'll get. Weekend airfares to Vegas don't tend to go down much. Weekday fares can.

I guess worst-case scenario you could fly to Laughlin and drive up if it was cheap enough.

Earlier in the day we took a cab from Mandalay Bay to The Venetian (which is a longer trip) and it only cost us about $15 plus tip. Towards the evening the taxi lines were getting pretty long (which is how we ended up on the monorail) but on a Thursday night it shouldn't be too bad.

Very true. Although if you're planning on using it a few times, the $13 unlimited use (24 hours) ticket is a decent deal. And hey Beegee, how come you didn't take advantage of the "locals" discount? Apparently locals can buy a limited number of 1 ride tickets for $1:

"Nevada Resident Tickets
Discount tickets for Nevada residents are available at all of the Monorail's customer service booths upon presentation of your valid Nevada driver's license, State of Nevada government-issued identification card or Nevada Sheriff's Card. Local fare is $1 per ride. Maximum purchase: two (2) single ride tickets per person per day."

I only use the monorail to go to/from the convention center for work shows. It'll be more useful when it's finally connected to the airport.

I believe it's still the only privately-owned mass transit system in the U.S.

Edmontonhj is nice enough to be doing this for us all and is buying them but it would be great if we could each pitch in a few dollars when we get the lanyards that night.
