I've been trying to do this for the last year. I've been pretty successful...at least until last week when I finally broke and ordered over $200 (gotta love those exchange rates - that's only ?100) of books and cds. 
Now I just have to figure out how to hide them from my Mum when they're delivered.

i've bought a few things online recently.
i can see how it would be really easy to go overboard...there's a lot of semi-usless stuff you can aquire...and certain music is easier to find than going into the store and asking the incompetent moron working there to look up the cd for special order or something.
