Favorite figure skaters--??

I'm bumping this thread because a truly shocking thing happened today. It didn't happen on the ice. Some hacked an ice dance site dedicated to my favorite ice dancers, Bulgaria's Denkova and Stavyiski, and put a whole bunch of porn stuff in there. Honestly, can you believe anyone did this? The site is run by someone from France and this is the second time in a month the thing's been hacked. Gosh, how sick.

That is sick. Honestly whoever would want to do something like that is pretty sad. Skating draws fans of all ages and what a horrible thing to possibly expose kids to.

For some reason I cant place that ice dance team...at least by name.

I have trouble remembering alot of the Eastern European skaters myself because the names are so different. This couple, Albena Denkova and Maxim Stavyisky, skate for Bulgaria even though Maxim's actually from Russia. Albena is from Sofia. They are a very innovative and creative ice dance team, and I really like them. I don't understand why this keeps on doing this crud to this site. I hope it's not politically motivated--the site owner is from France, but to the best of my knowledge she is not political. She's just an ice dance fan with several nice sites. Some idiot doesn't have anything better to do.

It's sad because the person running the site hasn't done anything to harm anyone. I wish I could remember that dance team! Where have they been ranking in competition? Now I'll be looking forward to Worlds to see them especially if they are more of an innovative team.

Albena and Maxim were fifth at Worlds last year. They won a Grand Prix event in Germany, Nation's Cup, and then won the silver medal at Europeans! That was the first skating medal ever for Bulgaria. They won the bronze at Grand Prix Finals in St. Petersburg yesterday. I hope they win a medal at Worlds. I'm going to be nervous as hell during that competition.

I think the Grand Prix finals are supposed to be on tv sometime in the next couple weeks...or so my mom said. I'm going to have to make sure to catch the ice dancing. I really want to see these guys skate now...I'm thinking I'll recognize them. I should definitely see them at Worlds.
