Are the DVD's included with the new album universal or are they coded by regions?

almost all DVDs that come packaged with CDs are region specific, so if you're importing the deluxe for Fast Cars the DVD will likely not work unless you have a region free player or theres a hack for your DVD player. I bought Foo Fighters over in England back when One By One came out and the DVD would not play in my old machine but it plays in my region free one.
all DVD players are region free at first, then they're coded to their region, however lots of players have remote control initiated (i.e you plug in a set button code like a video game code) hacks that allow your player to be region free.
check www.dvdrhelp.com click Hacks and see if your player has one.

DVDs from Europe and Japan are also encoded in PAL, so if you're planning on importing a DVD to the US, Make sure your DVD player can convert PAL to NTSC, as well.
Pretty much any computer DVD player should be able to playback PAL.
