    Rate Boots!

I give it an 8 for now. But at the rate my opinion is changing on it, within a day I'll wish I had given it a 10. :)

You've heard GET ON YOUR BOOTS? - Post all thoughts, reviews, discussion HERE Part 3

Well, the fact that I've stopped listening, but keep walking around the house singing, "Hey hey hey!" must mean I like it, after all. :)

Larry's drumming is always better than the crap on the radio today. :D

You've heard GET ON YOUR BOOTS? - Post all thoughts, reviews, discussion HERE Part 3

Wow, it feels like years since I posted here. Oh wait... I'm not sure how I feel about the song. My first thought was that it's the "Vertigo" of the new album. A rockabilly song that won't reflect the rest of the album. I say this, by the way, being completely unspoiled for the new songs. I...

I'm so sorry to hear this. :( My thoughts and prayers are with the band and their families.

LOST, Season 2 - Part Two

Thank you! I thought the episode was pretty good. I felt so bad for Rousseau when she finally learned that her daughter was alive. Not that I expected Claire to invite her to come back to the camp or anything, but I still felt bad that she went back to her lonely little hidey-hole.

LOST, Season 2 - Part Two

Man, Ethan in a doctor's coat was just creepy. And I almost didn't recognize ol' Zeke without his hillbilly beard! Can anyone fill me in on the last five minutes? My brother called, and so I missed the conversation between Locke and the guy in the locker. All I could tell is that whatever he...

Song that fell thru the cracks

In God's Country is my second favorite song on Joshua Tree. I just love the guitar, and the fact that Larry doesn't hit the cymbals once. The version in the R&H movie kicks ass.

    The Sweetest Thing...

The original B-side is so much better than the polished single, I think. I love the raw feeling to the B-side. And those "do do dos" in the single just make me cringe.

    Love comes tumbling

Thanks, typhoon! Beautiful song, one of their best B-sides.

    dvds worth buying?

    - Yes. - Yes, but I still think Zoo TV is better. - Mofo live kicks some major ass.

    Losing your love for U2

I'm rather close to losing my love for them. I guess I just need a break. I did that for a while last year, but apparently it wasn't long enough. Sometimes I just need to listen to other bands, and let my U2 batteries recharge.

    SongsThat Should Have Been U2's?

"Wake Up" by The Arcade Fire As for the original question, I agree with those who say Coldplay. Especially Fix You. That song has the typical U2 pattern of starting out soft and slow and then building to a crescendo. I also have to say "Times Like These" by Foo Fighters.

Love And Peace Or Else VS. Indian Summer Sky

LAPOE. Liked it on the album, fell in love with it after hearing/seeing it live.

Interesting! I wonder what the "previously unreleased footage" is.

Why no U2 on American Idol?

Ugh. If American Idol started using U2, I'd have to wash my brain out.

    Zoo TV appreciation thread

Zoo TV fucking rules. That was the first time I saw U2. Bono as the Fly, Trabants hanging from the ceiling, the slide solo at the end of Mysterious Ways, the Mirrorball Man kissing that mirror, the lights playing across the audience during Love is Blindness, the way I wondered, "Where the hell...

LOST, Season 2 - Part Two

I think part of the problem is that the show is just too big. If I counted right, there are 14 members of the main cast. 15, if you include Walt (and does he still count?) Then you have the peripheral characters like Rose and Bernard, Rousseau and Desmond. And then there's the Others. It's got...

LOST, Season 2 - Part Two

Poor Sayid... I really feel for him. Shannon's death really messed him up. His notion of no guilt = Other is an example of very twisted logic. Although I admit I agree with him. I think the guy was lying through his teeth. Those red and black symbols on the countdown clock freaked me out! But...

    U2's b-sides and rarities

Except for the remixes (although some of those are good too), I think most of U2's B-sides are awesome. I really wish they hadn't started the trend of just remixing a song and slapping that onto the B-side of a single. No contest, the Joshua Tree B-sides are all incredible songs. Spanish Eyes...

The Fly vs Untill the End of the World

The Fly, although until recently I would have said Until the End of the World. But I've fallen in love all over again with The Fly. Everything about it kicks ass, from the video to the solo to the soaring falsetto, to the snarly opening notes. What a great song.
