Very crazy planet indeed! They have been the soundtrack to my life and millions of others. Let's not forget the amount of love they generate. Being at a U2 concert was one of my most emotional experiences, not just the band and the music but seeing my reaction mirrored by so many!

Vertigo - 10 years really? Where the heck did that go? This song revitalised the band, it sounded so fresh at the time. Absolute brilliance.

Pop is such a good album, I only wish the band could see this. For instance the pointless new versions on the best of was a travesty! I miss the risk taking element the band had with albums like Pop and Passengers.

The NME's lists should generally be avoided, even their own readers take issue with them. However the NME have always had a bit of an anti U2 thing going on. I don't like the general 'too cool for school' attitude of the publication.

Never understood what Bono is singing on this song and I've never wanted to - like other people have said, it's part of what makes the song and gives it mystery.

It's good to see that Julie Taymor had chance to take the stage and have credit even though she's no longer producer, it was her vision. As for the kiss with Bono, as we can see Edge had the same smacker on the lips - it shows what great friends they are that's all!

I think they lend a haunting quality to the song, it works well acoustically. Good on them. And Sixpence None The Richer did a good job with Love at Blindness.
