For me, everything from Volcano through the end is damn near perfect, and the first two tracks are pretty good. I'm kind of "meh" on the rest of it, but considering this is a band that has been releasing albums for almost 35 years, I'm OK with that.

I'm thinking the best since NLOTH, which I really liked. I'm not sure if I like NLOTH or SOI better. Overall, SOI ranks somewhere in the middle of the pack for me among U2's albums.

I'm listening to the album for the first time right now, and so far I think this is my favorite. It started out sort of ho-hum but then it suddenly got great. I was sad when it ended -- I wanted more!
