Bootleg Seller Busted at Philly I

So, I'm waiting in the GA line with my girlfriend and this guy comes up to the group of people in front of us. He starts asking if any of them have been to previous shows and one of the girls said she went to san diego. He responed "oh, well I have Anaheim," and some others. I was about to...

    5-14-05 Philly Photos

There was a One Campaign event in Philly that day, from 12-2. That's were Bono probably was; maybe he went and had lunch after and by the time he came in it was 4:30 or so. I walked by the crowd waiting for him to go get food over at the baseball stadium, and I saw a guy drive up and deliver a...

Philadelphia I Friendly, Kind Setlist Watch and Thread Party, Part II

I'd have to disagree with the statement that "the philly crowd did not want to stop singing 40." As soon as the house lights went on, everyone stopped and immediately filed out. However, while the crowd was chanting "how long..." it was great; very loud, seemed like most of the crowd was into...

Axver, Bono sang something short that I didn't recognize before the "uno, dos, tres" of vertigo. Can anyone else confirm/identify this?

Philadelphia I Friendly, Kind Setlist Watch and Thread Party, Part II

Just got back from the concert. So amazing. Standard set list, but I didn't care since it was my first of the tour. Kinda disappointed with no NYD, but I guess that's the price you pay when yout get electric co./an cat/into the heart. I have to agree with scottyT, so much energy in the...

I visited Vancouver once. After all the good things I heard about, I was acutally kind of disappointed. The scenery along the coast is amazing, but I didn't think the city/downtown area was that nice. I though Seattle was much nicer.

Just becuase american football players wear "padding," doesn't mean it's soft. The only soft padding is on their legs (sometimes). The shoulder pads and helmets are made of very hard and durable plastic. It's not like they're covered in pillows.

Yes, Axver rip NASCAR all you want. That is not a sport. It requires some driving skill, but it is not an athletic sport

If you don't like american football, that's fine. But you can't say it's not a sport.

I know there are other sports in the rest of the world that have large followings and I'm not attacking or criticizing them. I've watched rugby before and find it interesting. I just take offense that people have to take a stubborn "our football is the only football" stance and say that other...

It's not just americans who watch the Super Bowl; hundreds of millions all over the world watch it. Of course it's not "necessary" to wear helmets or padding to play football, but it certainly helps prevent and/or mitigate injuries. You don't have to wear a seat belt in order to drive a car...

I guess people just must like "wimpy" sports because the Super Bowl is one of the highest rated events in the world every year. Just because a sport is more "macho" and lets their players play with reckless abandonand with little regard for their safety doesn't mean it's any better of a sport...

Maybe the NFL just cares about the safety of their players. If they didn't wear helmets, they'd all be brain dead.

I just had an idea. What if a band made all their concerts available online via live webcast? You know how sweet that would be. Plus they would make a lot more money by charging everyone to watch. Of course, they have kind of done this with pay-per-view.

A friend of mine gave away the Complete U2 coupon that came with his U2 ipod in exchange for all the rare/unreleased songs. But it's not really worth it for us to get it because we have all the albums.
