Just got up. That Invisible performance is AMAZING and the skyline backdrop simply beautiful. I'm really excited about this live performance of the song, love the outro. Watching the other video now, thanks for the links :)

Twitter is going crazy over that "impromptu" acoustic performance with The Roots.

Which is pretty pathetic given how Bono got all meta about late night American talk shows placing instruments behind the couch for such occasions.

In Invisible, the xylophone part is great
It ads a lot
It's a guitar part on the studio version that is being played by a Rutgers band member in this particular performance. I doubt that it sticks as they arrange the song for the tour. Maybe it will be a piano part that Lawless plays, much like he did for the guitar part on live performances of Mercy?

I was wondering if there was a xylophone player, I didn't notice anyone playing it, but it's good to know it wasn't playback.

Watching it again now they're pretty obvious, I guess I was more concerned with Bono's vocals and feeling like people were going to fall off that tight space than scanning the Rutgers' crew .

Bono is ecstatic performing. He looks so happy when he walks out. And the outro.

They're not just back, they're back in style.

Both performances - simply amazing. "Ordinary Love" gave me chills, and "Invisible" was magnetic.

Sounds sound great live - they will only get better too - Bono sounded a bit short of breath a number of times and strained a bit, but this is exactly what happened with the early versions of GOYB. He will get better.

Leave it to Bono to take over the tonight show for the last 15 min. Too funny, Jimmy just sat back ....Bono couldn't contain himself he gets so pumped up to perform new songs..he's such a great frontman. The audience on their feet just fueled him more....I love it.He did the same thing when they were on SNL..What a great first show for Jimmy. He's a great guy. Met him a few times very cool..so down to earth.

It's funny watching him being restrained to that chair/couch. The man just can not sing and sit at the same time. He was just waiting for the opportunity to get up on his feet.

Both performances were great. IMO, much, much better that recorded versions. Then again, the boys always bring something special into the songs when performing live.

Wow is all i can say and ordinary love nearly made an english man break down in his corn flakes

Excellent! I'm not a big fan of Ordinary Love, but I have to admit I absolutely enjoyed this performance. Invisible was not bad either :applaud:

That performance was amazing!!!!

The mix sounds all out of whack when the chorus hits during Invisible...maybe it sounded different being there, but it sounded a bit weird to me

Other than that and Bono's voice sounding a bit weak on Invisible, good stuff!

Ordinary Love performance was incredible

To be fair to Bono, it was bloody freezing however. Not that easy to sing when it's that cold.
