Kristen, are you looking forward to classes starting? I know you're very bored with your job.

I miss school. I almost feel like I'm too old to go back now, though. :sigh:

You're never too old to go back....Plus you're not old!

I'm looking forward to classes starting so they can finish  It's my last year and I'm really excited to graduate.

Yeah my job is pretty boring. I'm looking around for something else once the school year starts because there are usually lots of student jobs available.

Now there's a surprise.

I am like 98% convinced that if I had returned his...uh...gestures? Whatever they were? That I probably would have been invited back there. I always found him a little skeevy though. And then there was the whole me being married thing. Joe was on my "list," Phil was never even considered. And when I heard about the topless women backstage, i remember being SO grossed out, UGH.

Yeah, that would NOT be a good attitude for U2 to adopt. At all.

Hi MsPurrl! How are you?

Doing well, VP! I don't know anything. Looking forward to some cooler weather on this long weekend.

Thanks. I had a plan. Honours BA, work for a year or so (preferably in my field) then back for grad school. Didn't exactly work out that way. Now, I feel like I'm paralyzed with no options. Blerg. But enough of my angst.

How exciting to be so close to being done! What do you want to do when you finish?? :hyper:

Yay, you're still here, i thought you'd escaped! :) You're in...Indiana? Am I close? July was insanely hot and humid here, August was a bit better, but today was crazy humid again. It's supposed to cool off by Sunday. This time of the year, I can't even bring myself to complain about heat because I know that next is
snow

Awwww  But you seem to like your job now right?

I have kinda the same plan. I've not made up my mind about grad school yet. I'm gonna work for a year to pay down my student loans and figure out if I want to go back to school or not.

Career wise, I want to work for an organization that deals with international aid. (I was into this before I became a U2 fan)

I do. But the pay is pathetic for my level of responsibility and the stress. And not to sound corny, but psychology is my passion. School did have all of the usual stress and BS that school has, but I LOVED learning it. I would sometimes get my psych textbooks a few weeks before classes started, and read through the majority of them before classes even started. :reject: i remember walking through the halls of our psych building and just feeling so happy to be there, like it was where I was meant to be.

Oh, that's such a cool area to get into! Did you get to take many international development classes at your school? I guess you'll be moving to Toronto or Ottawa?

Oh, it was nasty. My first piece was dry was wood and my second was so oily. The fries were nasty as well. And there was old people karaoke. It was no good. But all is better. I'm here.

But tonight, we share a room with our daughter. That's no fun.

I'm in and out, so to speak. Yes, Indiana--there's an old saying that if you don't like the weather in Indiana, just wait a few minutes cos it will change. I'm ready for a change. TFH for TF long. Went outside about 7:30 to feed the feral mama cat in the back yard, and it was just stifling.

But you are right--before long, I'll be bitching about the cold and snow.

You're in Indiana? Really? North or south? *used to live up near South Bend*

I don't think I'm ever going to be able to get that second package of oil paint stuff. They fucked up shipping and started shipping it to my old address and I had to call customer services and fix it and there goes my good day. Plus it's a holiday weekend so unlikely the package will arrive in time. Although I hope it does. My painting teacher is a prick and he wouldn't give a damn if I didn't have my supplies because he'd say I needed to buy them in the campus store which is expensive as fuck...

Anyways. Now I have time to de-stress and read some Joy Division biography.

(Grace, I'll get to Please when my life un-shittifies again...)

...oh and there was just live alternative weird music downstairs. It was good, the sound equipment was shit though, unfortunately. I feel bad for the band.

That Michael Bolton pic you mentioned in the other thread... I really can't see it because it's too small... but that isn't Bono is it???

Hiiiiii.

I definitely want to see Coldplay next time they come around as well.

...

Thank goodness I'd picked up a Papa Murphy's pizza (oops, make that 5 errands!), so I don't have to go back out.

They're a fun band live.

We had pizza for dinner too

:hi5: Hey, you never know right! They are rockstars afterall. They gotta have some rockstar tendencies :shifty:

I'm sure there are tons of U2 fans that hate Coldplay

THere are TONS and most of them are on Interference

I just spent 2 excruciating hours at an Elk's fish fry. Someone help me.

That sounds like a joke.

Hi Comet, Purrl, Tara, Zu!

:wave::wave:

Like, hi and junk.

:)

Edit: and on that note, I'm running away again because I'm going to go watch a movie. Later, lovelies.

Second set of photos posted about the 3rd row down next to a Zoo photo. It looks like the uniform says Bolton.
