Oh crap. They changed trains while I was not paying attention and I went past the switch stop. I just can't Blue Crack and ride the rails. Mom fail.

Dazz, I'd go for Adam's side. Not sure if it's true this leg, but I remember we got lots of Adam love on the catwalk in Foxboro.

Also, I seem to remember hearing that Adam's side seems to not fill up as fast ... not sure about rail, but I know I've seen comments throughout the tour that people have had good luck finding pit space on that side.

These.

We waltzed in rather late for Montreal 1, and got to hang out at the back and watch the guys enter the stadium. Then we moved further into the pit on Adam's side, which had TONS of room! We were able to move around a lot. I was on the front rail for a bit, but most of the time I was further back, so I could see more. I couldn't believe how much space there was throughout the show. Adam's side is definitely your best bet, especially if you plan on showing up late. :)

thanks dg:hug:

ETA OUTER RAIL!!!!
in 09 it seemed except for UTEOTW,
when Edge's bridge stopped right in front of me  for BOOTS,
when Bono was swung along on the bridge
sitting down & singing for YBR,
and Bono stopping in front of my area
on the outer rail for part of COBL

that Edge and Bono walked alot over on the Circle
Catwalk right side, and Adam would also sometimes
meet them there
it's also where larry spend most of his time drumming on the long drum for CT

anyone else's experiences this year?

I was fairly far over on the outer rail on Edge's side, and we barely got any Bono love over there. Also bear in mind that if you're very far off center, it's hard to see any band members who are on the opposite side of the catwalk.

You don't realize how big that thing is and how much it curves until you're right there on it.

THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!!!

Yup, very true. We walked in at 5pm MTL1 and had great spots!

Last( only so far) time

I made sure i was ONLY partly off center towards edge
it happened that Edge's bridge stopped in front of me for Boots
WASN'T expecting that at all!

I FIGURE ( GA experiment # 2 )
that if I'm partly off towards Adams side AND
Bono & Edge do something similar to my NJ GA
show I'll get more time of Bono & Edge
walking towards that side on the Outer Circle catwalk

thus more Photo Ops!!!

BTW
Grace gorgeous photos !!!
a quick look through :D

Try not to let yourself fixate too hard on what spot you need to have, so you don't freak out if that one particular part of the rail fills up before you're there. There's loads of rail available. :)

I think if I had Montreal 1 to do over, I'd go 2nd or 3rd row right under Bono instead of rail directly under Edge. And if you don't mind NOT getting on the rail, you can be 200, 300 or so and still be in the first 2 or 3 rows dead center, in my experience.

I am so unproductive today.

It's pretty shameful.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I haven't planned a single lesson or read a single play or scheduled ANYTHING this week. That's all I'm supposed to have been doing. Instead I've chatted w/ y'all and sorted/uploaded 900 photos. Still editing the Larry ones :reject:

I'm supposed to call a friend here in a bit to chat, but what should I say? "Der, I've done NOTHING all week! you?"

Unproductivity, ftw! :hi5: I haven't been getting much done either.

It's been more interesting to start writing my trip recap for my blog. :reject: I've written out a SUPER LONG version of it all, but I don't think I'll post the whole thing. It's just way too damn long and gushy. Shorter is definitely better. Or maybe I'll split it up into a bunch of posts - one for each day. That might be a better idea. I dunno.

ZU>>> You were at the back rail of the pit ??

also I really love bono in 3/4's view
which is why i wouldn't be dead center

I like the idea of an entry for each day.

I'm home for the day. Got maybe two hours sleep last night, my back is wrecked, but got up and went to work anyway. When I walked in, my supervisor was all anxious to hear how it was, looked at me and thought I was hungover and partied all weekend, I look so hellish. I told her about the back issues and lack of sleep, and she said "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN DOING HERE, YOU COULD HAVE TAKEN ANOTHER DAY, GO HOME!" Told her I'd try to stick it out, then sat there staring at my monitor like a zombie, read three emails in half an hour, replied to one in what was probably an incomplete sentence, and then said "yeah, I can't do this."
.

WHAT a GREAT Boss!!!! :hyper::love:

I hope you're feeling at least somewhat better VP! :hug:sss
